Song
At first, this song felt very weird and it took me a few times to actually get a feel of the song, though I really loved the piano in the whole song. This is like an ungraded version of Mona Lisa, Cry & Stay put together, which is an epic upgrade. Anyhow, I also really love the piano (as I just wrote that -.-), and the other many classical instruments that were included to make this really good upbeat song. Oh, yes, this song is much better than Mona Lisa last year by the way. Much Better.
Music Video
The music video has some really unclear points. Actually to be far, the plot was really hard to look at. An assassin(Lee Joon) tries to kill his target (aka. girl). He notices that someone else is trying to shoot her, so he puts down his sniper and saves the girl. The girl is shot, but Lee Joon kills the shooter. He than takes her to his friend’s (Thunder) house (I am assuming Thunder’s character lives on or near a car tip) and cares for her. This is where it gets very confusing. Thunder and Lee Joon’s characters care for this girl and love starts to bloom. You can see the love between the girl and Thunder, however to me, Lee Joon seems uninterested in the girl. He looks at Thunder’s things and does nothing else. Anyway, after the girl is fully healed, she opens up her heart for Thunder and Lee Joon gets really jealous. So Lee Joon’s drags the girl out and then has a fight with Thunder. After Lee Joon’s character takes the gun out and points it at Thunder, the girl jumps in the way to protect her lover. Lee Joon shoots but he curves the bullet and it hits himself with it (aka. suicide). There is only one reason why he wants to suicide in this video and that is to allow Thunder to date the girl, I think. There is basically no other reason why in the whole music video. That is it. Now I don’t get this part. Moments from his death, Lee Joon pulls out a piece of paper or something which makes the girl sob even more. What is that piece of paper? It looks like some ticket to a plane or Disneyland possibly. I am very confused.
Live Performance
I am no dancer however I feel that the dance to this song is not really that epic like the song. I find the special effects (fire, fireworks) and the music together make the performance really epic and the dance is kept to the minimum. Also I quite enjoy the fake bullet that shoot Lee Joon on their MCountdown comeback. Well, it was really predictable for their first comeback that they had that now that I think of it. Oh well.
And The Rating?
What a great song & music video, Performance was a letdown (a bit). 8.5/10.
