GOT7 is back with a brand new song. GOT7 is a boy band that debuted at the start of the year with Girls Girls Girls, later returned with A and now Stop It Stop It. You can definitely tell that the group is improving in terms of quality and also popularity. (And I guess I am back with regular reviews now. )
I like this song. It is not a terrible song as some people say. I liked the autotuned part at the start. Though it was a little excessive, it gave the song a futuristic sound to it. The vocals in this song to me were lacking. They seemed to be missing a wow factor that I wanted. The rapping was pretty nice, though I felt it was a little mismatched for the song at the same time. The lyrics are a typical love song. Overall, the song was pretty nice in my opinion.
The music video was meh. I liked the plot line but the whole thing could have been toned down a bit. The start was a little extreme. Dude threatening to jump off the building if the girl does not accept him while the girl has no care for the boy. But then future self appears and takes him into this portal to the future. There he meets the girl he wants who befriends him and confuses him. Then he is transported back into present time. Confusing, but really interesting. I also liked the parts where they dance, especially the alley ways and when they are all in black. (Overalls need to go. Cannot return to the 90s). Overall, nice video.
The dance is okay. Not that memorable. Though, towards the end, the dance got a little more to the standard that GOT7 has made for themselves.
6.5/10. I am midst of making a new ranking system. Reagrdless or not, I overall liked this comeback. They could have left a few things out or added a little something more to it.
