Welcome to the next edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts. This time, it is for a new month – Week 1 of May 2025, which spans 4 to 10 May 2025. It will be another short one this week, so let’s get cracking.

Non-Korean Song of the Week

Each week, the top-ranked non-Korean Song on the Weekly KPOP Chart is spotlighted (as this is an area I haven’t been focusing on as much on my blog lately). The non-Korean song of the past week is j-hope’s Sweet Dreams, which features Miguel.

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 1 of April 2025

Welcome to the next edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts. This time, it is for Week 1 of April 2025, which spans 30 March to 5 April 2025.

Once again, there is not much to update on this week. It has been the usual for me, working and scheduling some posts for the week ahead to give me some reprieve during the week (which I have been grateful for). I am glad I have also worked out a method to get posts published. It isn’t much, but I hope it ties us over during this busy period.

Although, I am once again shocked at how fast time has gone. Where did the last three months go? What have I been doing over the previous three months?

Anyhow, we are here for the Weekly KPOP Charts for Week 1 of April 2025, so let’s go!

What else am I listening to?

Each week, I spotlight a song not on the Weekly KPOP Charts I have been listening to last week. This week, the song in question is NCT U’s Baby Don’t Stop.

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 4 of March 2025

Welcome to the next edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts. This time, it is for Week 4 of March 2025, which spans 23 to 29 March 2025.

There is not much to update on this week. It is a short one, given this is a day late. I have scheduled some posts for the week and will be working in the background to keep the blog running, particularly over the coming Easter break!

Meanwhile, on the charts, it appears to be a Stray-Kids-type of week, with several of their solo songs from their mixtape album Hop and their unit tracks from their more recent Mixtape: dominATE single album rising into the top 30 this week.

What else am I listening to?

Each week, I spotlight a song not on the Weekly KPOP Charts I have been listening to last week. This week, the song in question is TXT’s Sugar Rush Ride.

Non-Korean Song of the Week

Each week, the top-ranked non-Korean Song on the Weekly KPOP Chart is spotlighted (as this is an area I haven’t been focusing on as much on my blog lately). For the past week, the non-Korean song of the week is, once again, JENNIE’s Love Hangover, which features Dominic Fike.

The Chart

THE BOYZ’s VVV continues to rank in the top spot this past week – the second week in a row! Congratulations to THE BOYZ!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 2 & 3 of March 2025

Welcome to the next edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts. This week, this post contains 2 Weekly KPOP Charts for Weeks 2 and 3 of March 2025. Week 2 of March 2025 spans 9 to 15 March 2025, and Week 3 of March 2025 spans 16 to 22 March 2025.

I apologize for not posting last week. Time got away from me, and I planned to post the charts on Monday. But it was such a busy Monday (and the rest of the week) that I fell asleep on the couch. Not every day, though. I did lie in bed to ‘rest my eyes’ on the other nights, but I never got back up until the following day. Hahaha… And within a blink of an eye, the week was over, and here we are.

In case it gets busy again, I have scheduled (for real this time) reviews to post during the week. So stay tuned! But until then, here are the Weekly KPOP Charts for Weeks 2 and 3 of March 2025.

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 1 of March 2025

Welcome to the next edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts. This time, it is for Week 1 of March 2025, which spans 2 to 8 March 2025.

There is not much to update on this week. As you can tell, it has been a relatively silent week for me. Hopefully that changes this week. I have a day off tomorrow, so I hope to get some reviews drafted and scheduled for this week. But until then, here are the Weekly KPOP Chart posts for Week 1 of March 2025.

NOW LIVE – Winners of the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards

Last week, I posted the winners for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards. Click the link and browse to see if your favourite artist, song and performances from 2024 won!

What else am I listening to?

Each week, I spotlight a song not on the Weekly KPOP Charts I listened to last week. With INFINITE returning this week, INFINITE has been on my mind. So, this week’s song is INFINITE’s The Chaser.

Non-Korean Song of the Week

Each week, the top-ranked non-Korean Song on the Weekly KPOP Chart is spotlighted (as this is an area I haven’t been focusing on as much on my blog lately). For the past week, the non-Korean song of the week is once again JENNIE’s Love Hangover, which features Dominic Fike.

The Chart

ZEROBASEONE ranked in the top spot this past week with their latest single BLUE. Congratulations to ZEROBASEONE!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 4 of February 2025

Welcome to the next edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts. This time, it is for Week 4 of February 2025, which includes 23 February to 1 March 2025.

A few changes to the Weekly KPOP Charts – I had to bring songs released in November/December 2024 back into the charts system because they have not fulfilled their 9 weeks based on some decisions I made whilst working on the KPOPREVIEWED Awards. I won’t go into further detail, but songs like Stray Kids’ Walkin’ On Water or NCT DREAM’s When I’m With You are back in the Top 30 this week to complete their 9 week runs. Some songs will be on for a short time, while others will be on there for a bit longer.

I have also decided that any song entering the Top 30 for the first time will have a (NEW) next to their name, regardless of when that occurs in its 9 week run on the charts.

Okay, that’s it! Here are the Weekly KPOP Chart posts for Week 4 of February 2025.

NOW LIVE – Winners of the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards

Yesterday, I posted the winners for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards. It was a day later than expected, as it took a little longer to get all the elements in order. But I am definitely glad it is out for you to see who won each category that you—yes, you—voted for.

Click the link above and browse to see if your favourites won!

What else am I listening to?

Each week, I spotlight a song not on the Weekly KPOP Charts that I also listened to last week. This week’s song is THE BOYZ’s Bloom Bloom.

Non-Korean Song of the Week

Each week, the top-ranked non-Korean Song on the Weekly KPOP Chart is spotlighted (as this is an area I haven’t been focusing on as much on my blog lately). For the past week, the non-Korean song of the week is once again LISA’s Born Again, which features Doja Cat and Raye.

The Chart

ONF ranked in the top spot this past week with their latest single The Stranger. Congratulations to ONF!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 3 of February 2025

Welcome back to the usual transmission of the Weekly KPOP Chart posts (with all the usual segments below). This time, it is for Week 3 of February 2025, which includes 16 February to 22 February 2025. There is not much to update on, aside from I have been working hard on the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards over the week to make sure it can go live later this week (see announcement below). But until then, here are the Weekly KPOP Chart posts for Week 3 of February 2025.

Coming soon – Winners of the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards

Later this week, I will announce the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards winners. The post will go live on 28 February 2025 (this coming Friday, Australian time). There is no exact time, but I will make it happen sometime that day.

Hope you are all looking forward to finding out who you thought were the winners of each category!

What else am I listening to?

Each week, I spotlight a song not on the Weekly KPOP Charts that I also listened to last week. This week’s song is TXT’s Over The Moon. I am pretty sure Over The Moon has been on my mind because I wasn’t paying much attention to songs released in the last few months of 2024 (because of holiday preparation and working on the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards), and I am now playing catch-up.

Non-Korean Song of the Week

Each week, the top-ranked non-Korean Song on the Weekly KPOP Chart is spotlighted (as this is an area I haven’t been focusing on as much on my blog lately). For the past week, the non-Korean song of the week is LISA’s Born Again, which features Doja Cat and Raye.

The Chart

JISOO ranked in the top spot this past week with her latest single earthquake. Congratulations to JISOO!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 2 of February 2025

Welcome back to another Weekly KPOP Chart post. This time, it is for Week 2 of February 2025, spanning from 9 February to 15 February 2025. Since last night’s update, there hasn’t been much to update you on the blog front. If you want to read those updates, click here for them. Other than that, here are the Weekly KPOP Charts for Week 2 of February 2025.

The Chart

SEVENTEEN’s BSS (or BooSeokSoon) ranked in the top spot this past week with their latest single CBZ (Prime Time). Congratulations to BSS!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] Week 1 of February 2025

Weekly KPOP Charts are back! It has been a while since I posted one – the last was for Week 2 of December 2024. Thanks again for your patience while I restarted the blog. Getting back into the groove and loading the new songs into the spreadsheet is taking longer than expected. But I will get there! Below are some updates on the blog and segment, as well as the Weekly KPOP Charts for Week 1 of February 2025.

Updates on the blog

Somewhere on the blog, I mentioned I would be posting the Weekly KPOP Charts for Week 3 of December 2024. I have decided not to proceed with that post, as getting the data to post will be time-consuming. Eventually, I will get around to it, but it isn’t on my current priorities.

Similarly, the KPOPREVIEWED Choice for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards have been shelved. They will still feature in the Winner Announcement post, which is still on its way! Currently, I am working behind the scenes to get that ready. I will be able to confirm an announcement date in the Weekly KPOP Charts for Week 3 of Feburary 2025!

Updates to the Weekly KPOP Charts posts

The usual sections that form part of a Weekly KPOP Chart post will restart from Week 3 of February 2025. These include the ‘Non-Korean Song of the Week‘ and the ‘What else I am listening to?‘.

This year, I will re-introduce:

  • a ‘Re-Enter‘ tag next to songs that have experienced a resurgence after dropping out of the Top 30, and
  • a ‘FW‘ tag next to songs that will be leaving the Weekly KPOP Charts if they are in the Top 30 in their final week.

When I first started the Weekly KPOP Charts, these used to be part of it. But laziness got in the way. But now that I have automated the process (#technology), I can bring them back!

You can see the ‘RE-ENTER’ tag in action below. The associated song (Stray Kids’ Walkin On Water) is the only song from the last Weekly KPOP Charts to remain on the charts.

The Charts

IVE ranked first in 1st Week of February 2025 with their latest single ATTITUDE. Congratulations IVE!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] 2nd Week of December 2024

Welcome back to another Weekly KPOP Chart post! You may have noticed that I am posting this a day later than usual. It has been a busy weekend as I have been preparing to get the voting lines up and running for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards. I have also been drafting and scheduling some posts for the upcoming Summer break.

My final ‘fresh’ post for the year will be this week’s Weekly KPOP Charts, to be published next Sunday per the usual schedule. From there, scheduled posts (song reviews for ‘older’ songs that I missed from earlier in the year or albums I have yet to review) will begin to drop from Monday next week. I aim to have a post out every two days until 1 February 2025 (which is when I will be back). Any major comeback in the last few days of the year or during January 2025 will be reviewed upon my return.

But I am still posting ‘fresh-off-the-press’ song reviews for new (or new-ish) releases this week! So until next week, it is the usual transmission.

Voting Now Open – 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards

Voting for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards has officially begun!

I announced the nominations last week and launched the voting page just yesterday. You have until 31 January 2025 to vote for your favourite KPOP artist, song and performance of 2024.

Check back on 31 December 2024 to find out who my pick of the winner for each category in the annual KPOPREVIEWED Choice post. But remember, your votes will decide the winner. Happy voting!

Non-Korean Song of the Week

I draw attention to a top-ranking non-Korean song of the week in this part of the Weekly KPOP Chart post each week. This week’s highest-ranking non-Korean song is ROSÉ’s toxic till the end, which ranks in the 9th position.

The Charts

TWICE’s Strategy, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, ranks in the top spot for the 2nd Week of December 2024’s Weekly KPOP Charts. Congratulations TWICE and Megan!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] 1st Week of December 2024

Welcome back to another Weekly KPOP Chart post! Another Sunday, so it is chore day. But I am also finalising the nominations for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards tonight – just got a few more categories to go. Plus, still trying to draft and schedule reviews for while I am away. So let’s get right to the Weekly KPOP Chart for the 1st Week of December 2024.

Coming Up – 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards

As mentioned above, I am in the process of finalising the nominations for the 2024 KPOPREVIEWED Awards as I will be posting the nominations on Tuesday this week – 10 December 2024!

And then next Sunday (15 December 2024), voting will open and it will be in your hands to help determine the winners of each category.

Non-Korean Song of the Week

As this blog focuses primarily on KPOP songs, I want to draw attention to a particular song that isn’t in Korean in this part of the Weekly KPOP Chart post. That song will be the top-ranking non-Korean song on each Weekly KPOP Chart post. This week’s highest-ranking non-Korean song is V and Park Hyo Shin’s Winter Ahead, which ranks in the 9th position.

The Charts

aespa’s Whiplash ranks in the top spot on the 1st Week of December 2024’s Weekly KPOP Charts. This is the second week in which Whiplash is the top song of the week, the previous being the 4th Week of October 2024. Congratulations aespa!

[Weekly KPOP Chart] 4th Week of November 2024

Welcome back to another Weekly KPOP Chart post! It is going to be another quick one, as there is a special post coming later today which I would like to finish off and post, so stayed tuned for that later today. But I gotta run some errands beforehand (per my normal Sunday schedule). So let’s get to it!

This week’s highest-ranking non-Korean song is MOEVV’s TOXIC, which ranks in the 11th position.

The Charts

TWS’s Last Festival ranks in the top spot on the 4th Week of November 2024’s Weekly KPOP Charts. Congratulations to TWS!
