Welcome to the first weekly chart post for the second half of 2019. As I said last week, let’s all hope that the cool releases (and only the cool releases) continue onto the second half of the year. And it seems that will be the case with the return of GFriend and Ailee, along with solo releases from D.O (from EXO) and Sulli, making their debut on the chart this week!

Chungha’s latest solo release, Snapping, has been enjoying a lot of popularity and attention. It has topped charts and won a few weekly music shows form this week. And today, Snapping managed to top this week’s Weekly KPOP Chart.  In the second position was Ong Seong Woo’s first solo single, Heart Sign. As mentioned before, Fever by Gfriend and That’s Okay by D.O (EXO) made their debut in the third and fourth position respectively this week. The final song as part of the Top 5 is Stray Kids’ Side Effects, which was last week’s Number 1 Song.

Welcome back to another weekly chart post. This time it is for the 4th week of June 2019, which is also the final week for the first half of 2019. Where on earth has the time gone? I just remember celebrating New Years the other day!!! While time has been flying by, a lot of things has happened so far this year, especially in the KPOP industry. Some really good things, while other not-so-good things. Let’s hope that we have dealt with all the bad things already and that the second half of 2019 is a smooth ride for all fans and artists!

As per usual, I celebrate the first half of the year with two special posts. The first is the recap of the weekly charts between July of the previous year to June of this year. The second will be just a page of my favourite songs so far in the year. I will be continuing with this tradition and they will be published very soon in the coming weeks.

For the charts of this week, we have Stray Kids’ Side Effects landing in the top spot. It was undeniable that one of the side effects of their latest track was an addiction (the good form). Singing her way to the second position was JeA and Cheetah’s collaboration, Dear Rude. Chungha snaps into third place with Snapping, while WJSN finds themselves dancing in fourth place with Boogie Up. Welcome to the Weekly Charts posts for the 3rd Week of June 2019. I hope everyone has been doing well. It has been a busy week for me, with many reviews being released this week. The catch up with continue onto this week and I think I am almost up to date! For the ‘Past Album Review’, I will be restarting in July (despite promises to start it again this month). I feel like I should focus on the catch up for the more recent releases and then the past stuff. I also have a number of special posts planned for the coming weeks, so keep your eyes open for those!

As for the charts this week, there was a massive reshuffle in the ranking this week. This is partly due to the catch-up, resulting in songs from a few weeks back being bumped up towards the top of the charts. I have accepted the results as it is, rather than faking it. So below is your Top 5 summary for this week!

Despite the catch-up shake-up, Red Velvet’s latest comeback track, Zimzalabim, managed to come out on top of the charts. This ended up bumping last week’s number 1 song, Boogie Up by WJSN, to the second position. The last few weeks, we have seen the same songs in the top 5. This week, a brand new lineup takes the third to fourth position. Leo’s Romanticism debuts on the chart in the third position. NCT Dream and HRVY’s collaboration reaches the fourth position, while Somi’s Birthday completes this week’s top 5 rankings! For more of the charts, scroll down below!

Yes, we are back on schedule and I have yet to break any promises (that I know of)! Welcome to this week’s Weekly Charts post, where I unveil my personal rankings for the current KPOP tracks for the 2nd week of June 2019. As you could tell, a number of album reviews are being published this weekend and I shall publish another later tonight, as I attempt to get on top of them. Reviews will restart tomorrow!

As for the charts this week, I think I am in agreeance with some of the weekly music show charts with who is on top! WJSN’s Boogie Up earned top spots on SBS The Show and MCountDown during the week and the same song has also risen to the top of this week’s Weekly Chart. Me by CLC remains steady in the second position, while Oh My Girl’s The Fifth Season dropped 2 spots to the third position for this week. FUN! by fromis_9 enters the Top 5 in the fourth position, while AB6IX’s Breathe completes this week’s Top 5.

As seen from my reappearance yesterday, I am back and ready to roll! And you may have noticed that I didn’t stick to the weekly post schedule for the past week, including the Weekly KPOP Chart post, which I have always published on Sunday. Things should return to the normal schedule over the weekend. But before I am able to ‘get back on track’, I need to post the Weekly Charts that I missed out from this past Sunday. It is, as you can tell based on the title/feature image, for the first week of June 2019.

Topping the charts once again this week is Oh My Girl’s The Fifth Season, which previously reached the topped the charts for the second week of May 2019. And as expected from last week, CLC edges closer with Me, to the top by sliding into this week’s second position. Last week’s reigning ‘Top Song’ was EXID’s Me & You, and they dropped down to the third position this week. GOT7 remains steady with Eclipse in the fourth week for the third week in a row, while Cherry Bullet’s Really Really returns to the Top 5 this week by completing the Top 5 for the week.

Welcome back to this week’s Weekly KPOP Chart. Once again, it is going to be a fast one as it is another eventful day before the mad dash to the end of the semester. As you can tell, the number of reviews that I have been publishing lately have dwindled down. This is set to continue over the next few weeks as I prepare for last minute assignments and exams. I will be prioritising new releases while pushing back secondary or special music videos (such as the case for ONEWE, N.Flying etc). Also, I have decided to cancel album reviews for the rest of this week (GOT7’s album review will be published today!) so that I have time to finish my assignments.

Reaching the top of the charts this week is EXID’s Me & You, who will be going on an indefinite hiatus as previously stated in the song’s review and album review (the latter was published this week). A number of new songs made its way into the Top 5 for this week. The first is Kim Jae Hwan’s solo debut, Begin Again, which fell into the second position this week. Last week’s Oh My Girl’s The Fifth Season (SSFWL) dropped down two positions to the third position this week. In fourth and fifth position this week are other new songs from the week. Respectively they are GOT&’s Eclipse and Cherry Bullet’s Really Really.

Topping the charts this week is Oh My Girl’s The Fifth Season (I will have the album review up sometime today… hopefully). They rose up one position from last week’s second position. In the second position, this week is Nam Woohyun’s Hold On Me. This feels like an unexpected ranking for me but definitely welcomed. Let’s see how the song goes next week. Topping the charts this week is NU’EST latest comeback, Bet Bet. They rose one spot from last week’s second position. In this week’s second position, it is Oh My Girl with The Fifth Season (SSFWL), which is a new release for this week. TWICE’s Fancy dropped down from the top position to the third position this week. The Boyz’s Bloom Bloom and Hold On Me by Nam Woohyun complete this week’s Top 5 songs.

Following closely behind is NU’EST’s long-awaited five-member comeback with Bet Bet, which is going to be an interesting contender for next week! I’m So Hot by Momoland returns to the Top 5 this week by sliding right into the third position, while Park Ji Hoon’s L.O.V.E rises back into the fourth position. Last week’s number 1 song was Violeta by IZ*ONE and it dropped down to complete the Top 5 for this week!

It has been a while since we had a jam-packed week with multiple comebacks and a mini Wanna One reunion (which is set to continue into next week). It has been a bit hectic and there are still one or two more reviews to do from the top of my head so I will try to get them done as soon as possible. Topping the charts this week is, once again, IZ*ONE’s Violeta. No surprises there as their song has grown so much on me. Coming in the second position is TWICE’s newest song, Fancy. BTS’s Boy With Luv featuring Halsey makes its first appearance in the Top 5 this week, with hopefully more appearances in the future! DIA drops down to the fourth position this week with Woowa, while TARGET’s Beautiful (another new release this week) rounds out the Top 5 for this week.

It is another week and it is another Sunday, which means it is time for a Weekly Chart post. The past week has been relatively quiet in terms with comebacks, with the exception of BTS’s comeback and a single debut. However, I have been busy in the past week and may have missed on a few. Let me know if there any comebacks that I should have reviewed in the past week! And because of the lack of new releases, I have been revisiting many old songs currently on the carts, causing a major shakeup to the rankings this week.

A song that I knew from its release date would top the charts eventually is DIA’s Woowa, which was released 4 weeks ago. Following behind is Stray Kids’ Miroh. The first song to jump a massive number of positions is Focus by Jus2 (GOT7’s latest subunit). Park Bom’s Spring rises once again back into the Top 5, however, not at the same magnitude as Focus. Finally, EVERGLOW’s Bon Bon Chocolat dropped a position, one of the few songs to remain in the Top 30 from last week.

As alluded to and shown in the charts below, a number of songs rose many spots alongside Jus2’s Focus. See below which songs did so!

Knocking Park Bom’s Spring off from the top of the charts is KARD’s Bomb Bomb, which rose a mega 28 places from its 29th position last week. DIA moves up one spot with Woowa to retake the second position, which they previously held two weeks ago, while IZ*ONE’s comeback with Violeta falls into the third position for this week. EVERGLOW’s Bon Bon Chocolat remains steady in the fourth position, while Stray Kids’ Miroh completes this week’s Top 5.

Topping for the charts for the second week in a row is Park Bom’s Spring. This is also the first song of 2019 to top the charts for then one week, so congratulations to Park Bom and Sandara Park! Mamamoo’s gogobebe rises to the second position and swaps places with DIA’s Woowa. EVERGLOW is proving to be a strong debut with their debut single Bon Bon Chocolat rising to the fourth position. Completing the all-female Top 5 for this week is Momoland’s catchy I’m So Hot (which I am also playing right now as I type this post out).
