Miss Right – Teen Top

Teen Top has finally made their comeback with a new song. It has the potential to be like Crazy which won and top charts, however it is a horrible time to make a comeback since SHINee and Infinite are all making their comeback.  But nevertheless, the song still maintains the high standard which their previous songs have given them.

Okay, this song is not the best from Teen Top at all. It is okay, but it does not show much of their talent. The song overshadows their singing talent and rap talent. Those “LaLaLa” parts were so annoying and after listening to the song, not much has changed. The chorus was okay, but it was not as good. This song seems to be more Changjo dominated than another of the members. The instrumental was okay, but it was not the best thing out there. The raps seems to be the minority in the song. You listen to C.A.P and L.Joe rap once and that is about it. They don’t open their mouth or anything at all for the rest of the song. Ricky does not get much lines as well. Chunji and Niel seems to have the same amount of lines and Changjo just dominates the song. Overall, the song was okay, but could’ve have been better.

The music video is enough evidence that this song is meant to be that the song has a fun concept. But I don’t understand why they dress up in black, it kind of counterbalances your idea of having fun. Their jail theme is kind of weird  I am not even sure if weird is the right word. To me, it does not fit in with the concept. They seem to have fun perving on this girl and sent to jail for no apparent reason. And what is with their jail names? They seemed to be those random password generators that came up with the names. Also, the music video had a small amount of brightness, it seemed a tad dark didn’t it?

The live is pretty good.  No complaints for the dance at all. The dance fits the feel of the song and the dance is quite imaginative and creative.

5.5/10. Okay, but it could’ve have been better.

To You – Teen Top

Song

Now, at first I did not like this song. And now for some reason, I enjoy listening to this song. I found the beat to be quite weird at first, but now I find relaxing and really catchy. I really want to know what had happened. Why did my liking just change?

I find the vocals in here quite nice and the raps too. The highlight of the song for me was the very start of the song.

Music Video

To be honest, I have not touched the music video at all. Surprise, Surprise. I have watched the teasers which has given me a glimpse of what the music video is like. Dancing in a room full of cubes and one of the members wet, in a bathtub. which is for some reason located in the middle of the room, at a very weird angle. It is also full of water. I really don’t understand KPOP videos when it comes to bathtubs.

After watching the music video: WTH?

The plot was quite confusing. Really. I can tell it is about a group of guys who want to be with the girl they want, but she does not want them. So they fight? Bathe? Dance in puddles? To me, even though I never have been in a relationship, that girl is not for keeping. If you try to be kind to her which I think they have been with letters and meeting up with her in car parks, and she does not want to be with you, why bother. If probably take notice of you after a while, or fish for more in the sea. There are always more fish in the sea.

But at the end, the whole paragraph I wrote up there may have just disappeared. Not cool mate. Seriously are they ghosts or are they actually real living people? She had physical contact with them before, but now they disappeared?

As you can tell I am very confused.

Live Performance

I guess the best thing of the whole song is how orignal the actual dance is. It flows. No rough ends. I also find the dance throughout the whole song quite addictive. So yeah. YAY DANCE!

And The Rating?

I’d give this song a 7.4/10. Not really that good in terms of the music video. I did kind of liked the song but really enjoyed the dance.

Have Fun Watching. 😀 Troy

Going Crazy – Teen Top

Song

Finally back to their Supa Luv image but with more swag. These kind of songs matches them. No Perfume On You was, in my point of view one of the worsts songs in 2011. This song has an amazing instrumental that can make anyone dance as soon as you hear it. Now this song is much different than Supa Luv and No Perfume On You (NPOY). I had to listen to Supa Luv 2-3 times to get into it. NPOY did not even succeed to get into my good books. However, I got into this song straight away. The beat was very funky and you know this song has some swag. (Imagine reading this in my mind, SWAAAG~ LOL).

Music Video

This has to be a good start to the year. Teen Top comes back with a really great music video. Its about a guy who is crazy for this girl. So crazy that he has to run after her while she is on a train and bus. Now it is like the girl does not notice him, but this proves that the guy is to keep so she lures him onto the top of some building. Now that is my interpretation of the music video and there could be lots others. Also, Teen Top themselves is bringing back SWAG into K pop. Do I have to say the setting is really good. Alley and SWAG, who would’ve guessed.

Live Performance

Again SWAG. This song has a rocking dance to it. The dance is really good and the clothing to a SWAG song is ideal.  However I am not a fan of Teen Top so I don’t know names. However that guy really needs to lose his perm. Seriously, right now.

And The Rating?

A really good song with (yes?) SWAG in it. 8.5/10.

Have Fun Watching. Troy. 😀
