That XX – G Dragon

Source: http://americankpopfans.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/08.31-g-dragon-92.jpg

Yay! Another song that has been since forever that was on the list to review. G Dragon released this song separately before releasing his actual album and this song got some light. Although, this is not G Dragon’s best song out there, it is still a good song. But I have been noticing, YG artists have comebacks with more than 1 song, 2NE1, Big Bang, Epik High etc. I am pretty surprised with the amount of effort that YG puts into the comebacks.

First of all, I was blown away with this song. I was completely caught off guard with song (and so were you!). I expected something hip-hopish and we all got some really smooth ballad. Really, G Drgon should just rap and do his crazy stuff, not sing ballads. However this song is pretty good. I did feel his voice a bit awkward in the song and was really held back. I don’t think he poured enough emotion into this song than One Of A Kind or Crayon. This song just sucks compared to the other songs. However, who is comparing this song anyway! This song just alone would be pretty good. I liked the guitar and found the rhythm pretty good. But beside that, I was disappointed in the song. Also, I hated those beeps. I know they are covering up words that should be heard by young people, but seriously? Could they not just found a less hurtful word!

The music video is quite interesting in a way. It was dark, like the song and quite mysterious. The song talks about a guy who follows his girlfriend around and finds that another guy is treating his girlfriend bad. It turns out that “other guy” is actually him and he treats his own girlfriend quite bad. So that is why you see him all sad and sulky and see him looking through some keyholes in the door, as if he is stalking him. The only thing I hated in this whole video is the fcat how they made G Dragon look in the video. firstly, hated the hair, secondly they filmed the face as if the skin was all flaky. Like geez, that is really disgusting.

As the live performance, I found it okay. Nothing bad really. I was just *insert poker face here*. But the guitar was pretty good.

Yeah, okay song, just does not live to the standards of One Of A Kind or Crayon. 6/10.

[Having difficulties trying to link the music video in. will do after exams]

Crash – B.A.P

Source: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/XFFKPiVUpPo/0.jpg

Is there like something going on now? These guys have been working non-stop releasing their repackaged album for No Mercy, and before that released so many other songs. Give these guys a break! But these guys have come back with a unexpected turn in style. B.A.P is known for their really hardcore, “warrior” type of image, but they made their comeback with a cutey, aegyo type of song. Totally unexpected, but seriously, I have not heard any criticisms with this, I think they are just fine!

The song is really aegyo style and really is not what I like. But with the sound of the song, it does keep some of the really powerful bits of their other songs in it. I think the vocals are more highlighted in this song  than raps, to show what Daehyun and Youngjae have. As ais above, it seems like they have taken many parts out of their previous three stages and made them into something cute and mashed them together, which is a good thing. I approve. The only thing that was a letdown in this song would be the raps. Though, I know this song is for fanservice and stuff, but raps made B.A.P stand out a lot, and more of it would’ve been greater. Also the song was too short.

The music video is just clips of them having fun. Nothing to complain about here.

The dance is pretty good for this song. Did I see a “Starlight Moonlight” reference in the dance since most of the guys performed with Secret as background dancers? But I think the choreography was pretty good, and did show their softer side, which did fit the sound of the song. I am not disappointed at all! Oh, and all the article about Bang Yong Guk’s depressed face when Zelo jumped into his arms! Hahahahahaha.

Really short review, but one good song. A good music video and a really good choreography. 8.33333/10.

Sexy Love – T-Ara

Source: http://taimukira.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/090612_tara_sexy_love_mcountdown.jpg

Too soon? I guess so. Back after their controversy of the Hwayoung incident, they have made one of their least successful comebacks to date, I think. I guess they had some strong competition (*Cough*Cough*-Psy-*Cough*). But really, I was too kind of was disappointed. Not only now, they slapped a song with an irrelevant music video (drama version), they kind of made me feel really disappointed. This song was planned to be released right after Day By Day, but was postponed for obvious reasons.

As I said I was disappointed. I thought this song was like “Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” song that most of us sang when we were younger. Yeah, I am referring to the chorus of the song. ‘Sexy eyes, sexy nose” really does not cut it out for me. Really, I don’t pay attention to their nose in particular if i was finding a girl to love with. I also did not like the start, it kind of felt awkward and made the song kind of slow, but since it was some techno type, I expected something much faster. I did agree with their “robot theme” as the song did drop a few hints of being robots. Question: Is this the type of songs robots dance to? 😉

As for the music video, and I am reviewing the one with the dance it. I found it really annoying to watch. I watched it but I really found it annoying/ The start was really dragged out, and the scenery was kind of gloomy in my point of view. Since their robots, it made their expressions really fake, which I did not enjoy watching. The close up really sucked. I think this would be their worst concept ever.

Their dance really just fits the robotic theme. Not really much to say. Just on stage, they looked more expression-less than ever. But I liked their costumes for the stages though.

Yeah, a really bad concept and a comeback that was too soon. 3/10.  (Really sorry, you may think I am now biased with this group, but seriously, I just hated the concept. That means, never do the robot next to me  unless you look really good doing it. I still like their old songs though.)

Rock Your Body – VIXX

This is not their debut, but it seems like they are still in their debuting stages. I did not hear much from their actual debut beside their song, Superhero. This song was introduced to me, and kind of found it weird. I will explain it more later. But seriously, how many debuts have their been this year? I think I have covered this already, but there has been so many debuts this year, it is really hard to keep up with the rookie groups this year.

This song has a summery feel to it, which places it well in Summer. It is more of a song along the lines of B1A4’s Beautiful Target. I also noticed that VIXX, along with AJAX released quite serious songs for their debut, but eased the tension with the a more poppy type of song. I really liked the video game intro, which really is pretty unique, along with the start of the song. It flows right into the song, and fits the music video. I also liked their vocals and rap in this song, just the only thing I am not confident in with the music was the English right after (or is a part of the chorus?) the chorus. It kinda sounded awkward and too much forceful in a way. You get that feel?

The music video here is quite unique, as it has the video game feel, as we can see Dasom playing the game, which is unique. But, how can the characters in the game (aka. VIXX) jump out of the video game and dance along with Dasom in the video, and be a part of the game at the same time. I really kind of liked the enormous arcade that Dasom finds herself in! A GAMERS DREAM! I don’t play games that much, but I really like the arcade. I just think it is kind of weird for a coin to appear on a arcade game, which is the only game turned on in the whole arcade and why did Dasom just randomly venture her way into the arcade?

The dance of this song is quite disappointing. The only thing that actually stood out for me is the “Dance to the left, Dance to the right” dance, where they mimic the a racing person, which is quite good. With a song like this, I expected a bit more bouncy moves. Hey, it is how I feel when I play Mario Bros.

I would give this song a 6.167/10. Liked the song and music video. Dance just made me go eh.

Bloom – Gain (Brown Eyed Girls)

Source:https://kpopreviewed.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/gain.jpg?w=300

OMFG! She is back after like what 2 years since her solo debut and around a year after her group’s comeback. Cute *Check*. Sexy *Check*. Hot *Check*. Feminine *Check*. Makes everyone go WOW *Check*. Like seriously, I was so happy to see a new mini album released, and with JeA apparently making her solo debut in November, I think I am gonna die in a good way. Like come on, Miryo, Gain, JeA and if Narsha makes a comeback in December, OMFG! The idea just sounds too good for me.

Now the song was something that we all did not expect. We were expecting something badass like Irreversible or Sixth Sense, but instead we got something that was light and fluffy. Now, I have to admit, I was disappointed at first, but the song grew so much on me, to the point where I L.O.V.E it so much. Like come on, who does not like this song. Though the song itself was not really up there with the other songs that Brown Eyed Girls are used to, it is still a great song. It calms you down from the summer hype and you can enjoy it. Though her English is quite bad in the song, I think the song makes up lost ground in the music video. ;). The beat of the song was something new that we never had heard, and is quite different compared to the rest of her album. So, I approve.

Now, this music video was pretty good. Yeah. Well, this is awkward now, because you think I am now some perverted old man. Wrong!!!! I enjoyed the music video. I really love when she is outdoors and is like “OMG, soft grass!!!” She looks cute and equally pretty. However that little scene in the kitchen and the overly shown sex scene, made me laugh. She seemed to enjoyed it. LOL. But, it makes me wonder, how on earth did she film that without looking uncomfortable? But beside I enjoyed the dance. But was totally surprised with the “scenes” that I have been forbidden to talk about. Oh, and I found the start was dragged out a bit too much.

The dance to this song was quite cute and fluffy as well. It consists of a table, a few chairs and a lot of rubbing of guy’s legs. Yes, a lot. But overall, I enjoyed the dance. I really like the clothes that she wears for these performance, and don’t mind the guys clothing, just get rid of the shoes. Get rid of them.

Anyway, I would give this a 9.5/10. I guess this would be reasonable. ;). As for the porn rating of this video….

I’ll Be There – Spica

Source: http://americankpopfans.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/09.19-spica.jpg

Back from their debut earlier this year (I think) with a different song. I am sure earlier this year they made their debut with Russian Roulette, right? Well, they showed off their vocals there and new style, which was different in a sense. They also had a comeback with Painkiller, which showed the girls in a totally different style, showcasing their vocals. I liked thier Painkiller song, and compared to this, this was much of a letdown. However this is still a good song, right?

The girls set the standard a bit too high with their previous song, and to make a comeback with a song in like an 80’s era really does not match that standard. (Yes, you may guess, I do not like 80’s). But this song still has some of their vocal talents in it. It is also really great that they are trying something new for once, not like certain bands. It really matches their image though, they are the type to do these songs. It is has that cute feeling that is carried through the song to the music video. I guess the most memorable part of the song would be the “I’ll be there!” It really brings the song to a whole new level. From crappy to pretty modern. But I am sure it can be agreed that some parts can be fixed. The raps do not match the feel of the song, and some parts sounded thrown in and mushed together.

The music video is quite weird. Something tells me it is quite similar to Girl’s Day Twinkle Twinkle or Oh My God! Horse head and something you do not see everyday: a horse as a DJ. Duh, best part ever. Just imagine the clean up bill for that one. I am not sure about the start of the music video. A girl in an alleyway in the rain kind of sounds really out of place for me. But with the stars as well, make the whole thing seems like a gospel to me. You know? Not really great. One last thing: the shirts. All I can see is now is SsPpIiCcAa. Yeah, gibberish.

The dance here is kind of okay. I mean, I don’t really have much to say about the dance. Actually you know what, I have not noticed an of the live performances. I just listen to the song. Weird! But hey, the group still have their dance skills.

7/10. I think that is reasonable.

Beautiful Night – Beast

Source: https://kpopreviewed.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/beast2bbeautiful2bnight.jpg?w=300

Yes, another song that was released ike 2 months ago. Oh well, I am getting there with the list. Crossed off two, adds 3 more! I feel like this song was not really publicised that much. Basically they released the album, music video, then performed it on stage, won triple crown on M Countdown and disappeared. Beside that, I was kind of like, eh another Beast song, nothing that great. To be honest, despite being one of the biggest boy groups at the very moment, I think they might have reached their end. Like they are not in the news as much than when they first debuted or when Fiction came out last year.

Anyway, the song is a change for Beast, which really does not suit them. I prefer them on the lines of Breathe, Bad Girl, Shock, not this kind of funky, happy type of song. It is nothing that I am used to for Beast, since last year they released a love song, and now they just completely shoved the whole idea away. However, I did like the song though. It was a great song to enjoy and really sounded pretty good. I really like the instrumental and the vocals of the song was pretty good. Just, I was confused with the English some of the time in the song. But beside that, I was impressed, they pulled it off pretty well, despite my thoughts on the change was not that good.

The music video kind of looked funny. I doubt a bunch of caucasians would actually go out there and dance to an unknown boy band. There is not even a single asian in the crowd, how can that be? And the fact that they are all smiling creeps me out. But beside that, only a few things to reconsider guys: the pink suit, the subwoofer in that car, the shorts that Hyunseung is wearing and the fact that they are trying to walk in the streets trying to blend in. Seriously guy, if I wanted to see something like that I rather go to watch a movie about gangs and stuff like that. But beside that, 😐 .

The dance of this song is pretty good actually. I really like it. Pity, it was not in the music video, but it was pretty good. Also, I like the stage version of the song much more than the music video. Just, how many times did they dye their hair for this whole promotion cycle?

I would give it a 7.5/10. Not that bad, but seriously could’ve been better on so many levels.

Please Don’t… – K.Will

Source: http://24-7kpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/kwill.jpg

Wow, it has been forever since a K.Will song. (Actually, did he not released a song sometime in May or June?). I know this video just came out, like so many videos, just as soon as I saw the music video, I was smacked in the face. Can you believe the twist? I was like, OMFG! Anyway, to a more serious note: I really just don’t want to go on about the whole video without you not seeing the WHOLE video, so I will put a link right here for it: CLICK HERE.

The song has a really soft melody, which makes total sense if you put in with the video and really compliments K.Will’s voice, who is like on of the masters of ballads. It is very soft, yet definitely very emotional. There is something about his voice, which makes us feel kind of sad. You know? The song really sounds sweet, but like your typical love song, describing the girl, but if you put that the music video, you will understand the full story of the video. “After spending a long day finding this place. I feel like I am lost” and “I pretend to be crazy and hold onto you but my body won’t listen to me” are just some of the lyrics in the song which is packed full of emotion. I will definitely recommend this song, if you like love songs and ballads.

The music video! Boy, was I fooled. You were too, weren’t you? Well, if you do not understand the music video, there is something wrong with you, just I will explain it anyway. Well, there is a guy who, I think lives with a couple. The girl was picks on this guy and makes him angry, where the boyfriend would come along and play along with the girl. Anyway, the guy feels uncomfortable, when he sees the couple kiss and stuff, because it would be an awkward thing. I find it very awkward to sit next to my friend and his girlfriend kissing. Anyway, the boyfriend proposes to the girl, they get married. The guy is jealous, and does not wish to be apart of the ceremony, but gets dragged in anyway. Later it is shown, that the guy is crying while driving his car.

What surprised me, was the ending. In the end, a picture of the three are taken out. He rips the picture into three parts and discards the girl from the picture, putting him and the boyfriend together. A gay couple. I was totally deceived that the guy was jealous of the boyfriend. South Korea is really gonna ban this and use some excuse: promoting homosexuality.   Really, I was quite surprised, first time witnessing this in a music video. Yes, you too!

WILL UPDATE WHEN A LIVE PERFORMANCE COMES OUT!

WILL UPDATE WHEN I FINALLY FINISH THE REVIEW!

Kiss Kiss – CHAOS

Source: https://kpopreviewed.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/chaoskisskiss.jpg?w=300

This is quite interesting. They made their debut at the very start of the year, which in my point of view is very smart. They later made their comeback in winter with Racer and now they are back with their latest single, Kiss Kiss. They are pretty good, just I am not really sure what they are trying to do in anymore. But the song is quite good and the music video is quite unique.

The song starts off with those really old music players that need the needle to make the song work, then hits with the lyrics of “Kiss Kiss Me”, and the heavy guitar instrumental, which can be heard throughout the chorus of the song. Now this song is about a guy who longs to turn invisible to be kissed by girls, I think. Well, I was like really? Are you that pathetic or ugly? Would no girl go after you? Are you that desperate for love? I have never love, but invisible people will just make the situation for creepy and difficult. Anyway, the song has a really good Autumn beat to it, which is upbeat and kind of good. Not many KPOP singers go this way with their music, so it can be deemed as unique. It is good, just not really up there in terms of song instrumental. They have very powerful vocals, but somehow they have lost that in this song, and really I think they suit songs with powerful vocals.

The music video can be seen as definitely unique. We all know  American artist have done this before, but this is the first time I am seeing an Asian artist do this. Imagine all the shots taken! With the sudden change of clothes and movement, it must have been pretty long to film the whole music video, to get it right and at the right angles. So I have upping their marks because of this. I also love the scenery of the music video. It fits the song properly and really this is pretty good, in my point of view.

The live performance is the only area giving my goosebumps. One: Lose the hat. Yes, that hate is na big no-no. I really dislike watching this group with a big hat, that looks like it is going to hit the other members on stage. Oh well, but their vocals are pretty good live. Beside that, I have nothing much to say.

I would give this a 7.167/10. Yes, to be exact. it was good, could’ve been better though.

Party XXO – GLAM

Source: http://v013o.popscreen.com/eHQ4OTN3MTI=_o_120901-glam-partyxxo-show-music-core.jpg

Another rookie group! How many rookie groups debuted this year? Well, there was B.A.P, EXO, AOA, GLAM, EXID, Lunafly, 100%, Hello Venus and loads more. But this group really stand out in my point of view. They are different, in the sense that they go up there for fun, than winning a prize. They don’t seem that serious at all when they go onto the stage anyway.

The song is definitely a soft, yet really addictive dance track. It is meant to portray the girls as a cute group, but I think they are more on the terms of fierce and badass. Also, definitely this group is completely different. The girls talk about kissing girls and loving girls, which open a new page in the history of KPOP. Soon we’ll be seeing such groups like Big Bang and Super Junior talking about gay men, but hey it is all for the good. LGBT people are still humans in the end, they deserve their rights!!!!

The music video is quite like the normal KPOP videos we have everyday. Just there is a gingerbread in this video dancing and having fun. I also loved the CG effects they have in this video, it is quite different and unique, in the sense, that CG effects are not used for cute music videos like this. But beside the videos is alright. Nothing bad, I guess, but really nothing that outstanding.

The live performance for their song is kind of weird. If you follow me on G +, which nobody does… (Click Here) I noticed in most of their performances, the blonde chick (sorry about names, I am quite hopeless), did not sing at all. Either she sang with the group, danced or smiled. She had no solos whatsoever, which is quite disappointing. They are rumoured to have a comeback later this month, so I expect even lines. 😀

8/10. Pretty good for a debut track. YAY!!!!!

One Of A Kind – G Dragon

Source: http://img.ohkpop.com/2012/08/25/Oi27vI89.jpg

Released late last August, and currently it is October. How do you know I am good with my dates! LOL. Anyway, at first I did not want to review this song, because when it comes to G Dragon’s solos, I really cannot be stuffed with it. However I decided, why not! So yeah, I am basically a month and a bit delayed. Ohh well, at least I have it on the site now, that is good. This was the first of the 3 songs that were “promoted” by G Dragon on SBS. This song soon followed by That XX and Crayon, all three with a different style and mojo.

Well, definitely as soon as you are listening to this song, you can hear a hip beat. It is much different from his Heartbreaker days, or any of the things that he had in mind for the album or anything to do with Big Bang. I guess, it is the side that represents him the most, except for being crazy. It is kind of slow like other hip hop songs, but at the same time still has the feel as a rap and breakdancing kind of feel to it. Oh did I forget to mention SWAG!!! It is what G Dragon does the best anyway. I guess this song title can be related by everyone, but I am not sure if this song is to represent everyone else, which is why I guess the title of the song would be misleading in a way. I describes him, and only him since he is “One Of A Kind”.

The music video is quite like Crayon, except for the craziness. This music video has more of a serious feel to it, rather than a “Get your Crayon” style of crazy. Taeyang features in this music video. There is a lot of G Dragon being crazy as well, anyway, especially evident through the craziness to smash many glass cases that may have contained really expensive clothes. But beside that, I think the music video matched the feel of the song. Especially with the girls, at the Hello~ parts. 😉

Anyway the live performance is a lot like the dance in the music video. But beside that, I am not really that happy or disappointed.

I am only gonna give this song a 7/10. It is not really that good if you compare it to Crayon.

Lipstick – Orange Caramel

Source: http://mcroth.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/orange-caramel-lipstick.png?w=600&h=335

Cute attack. After big hits like Magic Girl, Bangkok City and Shanghai Romance they are back after with Lipstick, which really is another attack of cuteness. Uncle fans watch out, because you will die. Wait, that does not sound cute at all! That sounds evil…

Anyway, the song is really high-pitched. But at the same time it is really kind of weird. It takes a very long time for cutey-type of songs to grow on me, and this song is no exception. I found this song really uncomfortable to listen to. It kind sounds like their previous songs, all which I did not like at all. I must say though, the eomma, eomma part was the catchiest part for me, because I had that part on repeat. Unlike other songs, I really did not like the start of the chorus, it kind of sounded weird and fuzzy in my point of view. With the instrumental, I kind of felt like this, :|. Yeah, I felt like that. I really can describe my feelings with the song. It felt funny and really awkward. I guess I still have the Flashback images in my mind, which is preventing me to feel the full strength of the song.

The music video is also kind of weird. Lipstick titled music video really did not contain much lipstick. It only had a bunch of girls that fanboyed over a guy, who was taken away by a rather crazy princess. It all came down to a ping-pong battle, so that was all good. Yeah, not really. Again, not sure about my feelings for the music video as well, just wished to say that it was quite orange. 🙂

The live performance is pretty good. I’m not sure about the costumes, but I liked the dance, because it was cutey. That is also kind of weird because I did not like the song for its cuteness, but I love the dance for it. Oh well.

Okay, really unsure about this song.  6/10. I guess it could be better, but also, I think I got the Flashback images still in my mind. That was a good song.

I Wish – FT Island

Source: http://24-7kpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/iwish.jpg

Wow, they are back if a new song. Though this is a band, which I am not really fond of in KPOP, they made pretty strong and good comeback, despite the amount of really good acts they must compete with in order to get an award. But hey, they won a M CountDown award already, who knows what they can achieve!

The song starts off with a Spanish / MExican feel with the guitar. I was shocked, because I thought it was going to be something like Hello hello or Like The Birds. I listened through the first verse, not really keen on the new sound, and then it goes straight to it glory. The KPOP feel explodes in the chorus, which is pretty good. I liked the rest of the song, which was a complete repeating the process, and Hong Ki (Is that how you spell it?) had really powerful vocals. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the rap part. The guitar business there did not feel as good and great as the other parts, and kind of sounded awkward with the rap. But overall the song was pretty good.

Okay, when I first watched the music video I was confused. I could not tell the plot of the video from just watching the video. I had to search it up with the lyrics. Kind of weird hey. But my first initial thought was: Why would the girl date the guys from the same band, in the same house? Kind of weird as well, hey. Well, to be honest, I still actually don’t get the music video, even though I ow know the guy (or guys) want to be another to woo the girl. Yeah, confusing right?

The live was alright. I like the boxes which they stood on. Beside that, yeah it was alright.

7/10. Someone should really make the live more interesting. Back up dancers might work. Only a suggestion.

Crayon – G Dragon

Source: http://www.showboom.com/images/mv/574CRAYON.jpg

Well, I see a trend. Every time Big Bang comes back, there are like 3 different music videos released (Bad Boys, Blue, Fantastic Baby, Monster). G Dragon has finally made a comeback after nearly 2-3 years. I was very disappointed of his last single, and so am I this time. I really don’t like G Dragon as a solo artist, but I prefer him as the leader of Big Bang, and just that. I think the other members have more potential of making it big solo, than G Dragon himself. All I am now waiting for is Daesung’s solo debut, and then I will be happy.

This song is quite unique in it is own way, and I am confused with the lyrics that I could actually understand. But I do not see the connection between swag and crayons. (Excuse me though, I really need to get out under my rock, since I can;t even keep up with latest trends.) I am totally lost, why his single is called Crayon and swag is hinted in the song. Oh well. Beside that, this song as just a bit better than One of A Kind and That XX. I really love the chorus for this song, because it was much different than before. After hearing it only once (literally), all I can remember is “Get your Crayon”, he did a good job of shoving that into our minds! But beside that, I really have nothing to say. Well, only this :|.

What are with YG music video’s nowadays. Well particularly T.O.P’s and G Dragon’s. But G Dragon is like really high for craziness. Oh I see now. But seriously, out of all the fun and crazy stuff in KPOP, nothing can outdo G Dragon. Okay, basically my only complaints with he music video is why on earth is he shaving. He has nothing o this chin, and beside that, no one shaves like that anyway.  That is rough…

I really loved the rewind’s of this song, Well, those part where he jumps off the couch, and then the video rewinds. I really liked the big crayons though. They actually look pretty good, even though, they look childish in this music video.

No comments about the live performances. Just a lot of lights. Or maybe not. This would make a really good club hit though.

Stop Girl – UKISS

Source: https://kpopreviewed.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/u-kiss.jpg?w=300

Just a week ago, U-Kiss made their comeback with their latest mini-album, Stop Girl, which consisted of a pretty good song. 2 good songs. Obviously it is Sexy Baby and Remember (Acoustic Ver.), duh??? I am only joking, but they are good songs as well. Stop Girl was released in Korean and English as well (I think this is the first song released by U-Kiss in English). Anyway, this song totally rocks. At first I was disappointed. After DoraDora, I don’t think they should be coming out with these types of songs, and that they should go back to their hardcore dancing days. But this song started to grow on me quite easily, and then next thing I noticed, I was like” Stop girl in the name of love~”.

This song rocks. Not actually first time I heard it, but 2nd or third time though to get into the mojo of the song. It is quite different compared to Shut Up, Man Man Ha Ni, Neverland, Believe, DoraDora. They are kind of held back in this song, but this song has more emotions in it compared to Neverland. It is about a guy who wants to commit to his relationship and wants his girl to stop fighting, which is a type of song that is quite different to other songs that are about love in the KPOP industry. I really love the vocals (especially Kevin’s solo) and the rap of the song. The only thing I wish to complain is the amount of lines Dongho in the end got. He had to wait to the final moments of the song for a rap and only what seemed like 5 seconds, while Eli got 5 seconds too, but a section towards the beginning.

The music video is quite interesting. A black and white version and then a colour version was released. I like this idea, because it seemed fun to guess the colours which the members are wearing. (Or does that only apply to me?) LOL. But hey, I loved the music video, even though it was quite simple. Too simple. Well, they did add big chess pieces in the music video which was a plus and added to the “black and white” feel to the music video. Though, one thing is for sure, I am not sure about the hair Dongho. Long really does not suit him. Seems like a similar copy to G Dragon’s Seaweed hair.

The live performances never disappoint me and this time around, they are pretty good. I still really like Kevin’s solo part for these performances as well.

Well, 9/10. Really good.

No Mercy – B.A.P

B.A.P made their comeback with another fierce and powerful song. This however did not carry out the same kind of vibe, as Warrior or Power, but is more a gangster, bling bling  type of song, that I would expect Flo Rida to carry out. But they made this song look professional for such a new rookie group. They are still fierce, but at the same time, quite mature.

The song is definitely gives off a different feel to the group than Warrior or Power. They gave us more of a tough kind of image, than a gangster, laid-back kind of image. The song is quite a catchy beat than really makes this group outstanding. At first, I thought the song would not work out for them, but I was wrong. It grew on me, and turns out it one of the most listened to songs on the list. The raps are always superb in my opinion, and the vocals are always great as well. I really don’t have anything to complain about this song. Well, beside Himchan’s Boom Clap Boom Boom Clap part. It sounds like he was saying gibberish to me.

The music video is quite smart. From a foreigner’s mind, the zoom in images of the random objects are really random, and may put the viewer off. However, quite cleverly thought out by the director, the images compliment the lyrics so it is good. The music video too was quite dark for me, which I don’t really think is that important, but when I think of it again, a really bright music video would not have worked as well anyway. I also did not the like the red-orange background for some the video. It was quite distracting. But beside that, with song and dance, everything else was alright. Oh wait, shorts.

The live performance is pretty good. Daehyun never leaves us unimpressed with his high notes during the performances, and the dance is pretty good. I am not sure if some of the performances needed the traditional instrument players to come out, because they made the stage look a bit messy and uncoordinated, but they had their time to shine.

Well, look at that. 8.5/10. The music video was a bit distracting. but beside that I am quite happy to give them this rank.
