Another week has already passed and we find ourselves on a Sunday, so we all know what that means! Welcome back to the Weekly Charts for the 1st Week of August 2018. It is time to see where the songs are ranked on the charts this week. And with a number of new releases that felt me speechless, I am very interested to see where these songs lie on the charts.

Last week’s number 1 song (Oh My! by Seventeen) dropped down by 3 to the 4th position, leaving the top spot for this week vacant for Laboum (with their song Between Us) to rise to the top of the chart for this week! Also rising to the 2nd and 3rd positions are 1,2,3 by Seungri (Big Bang) and I’m So Sick by APINK (who just won’t budge from the top of the charts). Finishing off the top 5 is KARD’s Ride On The Wind.

There were a number of songs jumping up a fair bit. But none of was that impressive when compared to Hyolyn’s jump from 48 to 13 (a total of 35 spots) from last week. For more of the charts, scroll down below!

July has flown right past us as we land ourselves on the chart post of the final week of July 2018. Welcome back and I hope you all had a lovely and fantastic week. I am cold and extremely busy, so let’s get cracking on!

Maintaining the top spot on the charts for the second week in a row is SEVENTEEN’s Oh My!, which is quite addictive as you can tell. TWICE’s Dance The Night Away will not budge from the Top 5 as it rises to the second position. In the thrid position, we find MYTEEN’s She Bad, while Kim Chungha’s Love U rose an incrdible 22 spots to take ouot the fourth position. And finally, filling in the fifith position (and completing the top 5) is UNB’s Black Heart, which I am still enjoying despite it being out for a number of weeks already.

I am still trying to catch up on reviews as there are a number of artists who made their comeback last week that I yet to review. I should have some of the reviews up in the coming day.

ALSO – I will be postponing the ‘Music Video Theory’ posts to the week after their schedule release (I will update this tomorrow) as I am quite busy with many assignments stacking up and job-hunting.

Welcome back to this week’s edition of the chart! It is the 3rd week of July. I am back at university now, so things are going to be a little busy for me. But per usual, I will try to keep up with all the releases. Actually, the next few weeks seem like it going to extremely busy, in terms of releases, so it is going to be an interesting schedule. I do know that there are some releases I have yet to review and I will be doing so in the coming weeks!

Topping the charts this week is SEVENTEEN’s comeback track, Oh My! Following closely behind is Mamamoo’s Egotistic. The rest of the top 5 is made from songs from previous weeks. APINK’s I’m So Sick comes in the third position, while last week’s number 1 song Dance The Night Away (by TWICE) dropped down to the fourth position.  Completing the top 5 is BLACKPINK’s successful hit, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du.

Welcome back to this week’s charts post. I am late once again due to a very busy day. And I can’t promise the next few weeks will be any better as I restart university and will have a bit on my plate this semester. But I will endevour to get reviews/posts out accordingly, so you don’t need to worry to much! I still have yesterday’s Japanese song review to publish, which I will do after this chart post is out!

But more importantly, who took out the top spot on the charts this week? As many would expect, TWICE sits neatly on the throne (i.e. first position) with their latest song, Dance The Night Away. In second position is last week’s number one song, APINK’s I’m So Sick. Momoland’s BAAM, AOA’s Bingle Bangle and Target’s Is It True completes the top 5 for this week. Welcome to the second half of the year and the latest edition of the Weekly KPOP Chart. I was incredibly busy today hence why this chart is out a little later than usual. But at least I have managed to fit it in today! Let’s get on with the show before I bore you anymore!

With June officially over as of today, we have officially reached the half mark of 2018. It has been an awesome 6 months in the Korean Pop industry with a lot of exciting comebacks and promising debuts. And it guarantee that this will continue onwards. But before we move forward, let’s have a recap of the songs for the final week of June 2018.

So earlier this week I started my holidays. While that should mean I am working on this site a lot more, I kind of took the week off and tuning for some reviews. I am super tired after that stressful exam period and kind of worried for the upcoming semester. However, after some rest, I am ready to pump out reviews especially for next week with so many anticipated comebacks including NU’EST W, SHINee, DAY6, Momoland, ELRIS and UNB.

Welcome to the second week of June 2018. Just a very quick update that I have one more exam left before I am on my break. Once the exam is finished up, I will be doing a lot of posting on this site, so prepare yourselves for that. On top of that, it is rather cold and wet where I live at the moment, so I don’t think I will be venturing out anytime soon, meaning more time on the computer and the site!

Still on top of the charts for the 3rd week straight is Bingle Bangle (by AOA). Also remaining steady in fourth and fifth position from last week is Lady by Yubin and DKDK by Fromis_9, respectively. Only the second and third position changed from last week with Complete by ONF and Take Me Higher by A.C.E rising from their respective positions last week. Can anyone believe we have already reached June? It is insane how fast time is going by. Welcome to this week’s chart post for the 1st Week of June 2018. I just wanted to start off by apologising for an error in last week’s chart. 30th position for last week was, in fact, Call Your Name by JBJ (I had incorrectly typed in YDPP’s song twice). I only noticed last night and I have updated the charts, which you can check out here.

Maintaining the top spot from last week is Bingle Bangle by AOA. Also remaining steady from last week is SHINee’s Good Evening (in the 3rd position). The rest of the top 5 are new entries for this week. Wanna One’s Light takes out the second position, Lady by Yubin takes out the 4th position and DKDK by Fromis_9 takes out the 5th position.

While there are no massive jumps this week, a number of songs remained steady from last week. In addition to AOA and SHINee in the top 5, PRISTIN V and HALO remained steady with their respective songs. This is pretty much a rare thing to occur.

Next week we hope to see SHINee’s second title track on the charts. Also possibly making their appearance next week is BTOB’s pre-release single and BLACKPINK!!!

Apologies for the featured image for last week’s chart post. I posted the wrong one and only noticed when I started to write out this one. Don’t know how I managed to get it so wrong. But anyway, introducing the actual 5th week of May. I was genuinely surprised how many new releases I had to put on the charts this week, especially since I only identified a few, last week.

Topping the charts this week is AOA’s latest title track, Bingle Bangle. It basically dominated the chart this week, knocking BTS’ Fake Love down to the second position. Also making its debut on the charts this week is SHINee’s Good Evening in the third position, while VICTON’s Time Of Sorrow is growing on me, rising up to the fourth. Completing the top 5 is BOL4’s Travel, which remained steady.

One song managed to an enormous jump on the charts. Rising from the bottom to position 9 (i.e. 49 spots) is Love Flutters by The East Light. As it feels awkward to just end this paragraph here, GFriend and Teen Top just missed on spots within the Top 30.

Welcome to the 4th week of May. Time is going insanely fast and I can’t believe that we are already here. I am hoping that I will be able to catch up on the reviews I have missed, as I have a week off from university before exams kick in.  There are more reviews coming today and a number of album reviews will also be released this week. So prepare yourselves!

It is no surprise that BTS takes over the charts this week, as they top every single chart throughout the world with their latest comeback. Dream Catcher rises one position to take over the second position overall on the charts. Doing an impressive jump is UNI.T’s debut track, No More, while N.Flying also rises to the fourth position. The only new track this week to begin their run in the Top 5 is BOL4’s Travel (Starlight follows right behind in the 6th position).

While UNI.T did jump up 34 spots this week, it wasn’t the biggest jump on the charts. HALO’s OMG managed to climb a whopping 41 spots to 11th place on the charts this week.

Finally, we have a number of comebacks next week including AOA, Pristin V, SHINee and Samuel. I also believe LOONA’s final predebut subunit, LOONA yyxy, is happening this week (and I can confirm they will appear on the charts next week if they manage to enter the top 30).

Since all the TV shows that I follow have ended, I guess I now have more time to type these posts. But before I get onto that, we must go through the weekly charts for the 3rd Week of May 2018 because it just ended and I am trying to avoid studying. Topping the charts this week is Snuper’s Tulip. Following behind them is (G)I_DLE’s LATATA. Dream Catcher’s latest track, You & I, take out the third position, while Cross Gene’s Touch It finishes in the fourth position. Rounding out the Top 5 is The Boyz’s Giddy Up, which has been on the charts for a number of weeks now.

With Fake Love being the biggest release of the past week, next week is going to get very interesting. Also possibly joining next are The EastLight, Bolbbalgan4 and 24K.

It is the start of another week (and month), so it is time to look at the previous week’s chart! Welcome to the 1st week of May 2018. In the past week, I have published the first part of the LOONA pre-debut reviews, which looked at the first 6 members who were unveiled as part of their pre-debut project. Check back this Wednesday for the second part of the special reviews.

This week, we have Lovelyz’s That Day holding onto the first position, with last week’s number 1 song (Scentist by VIXX) dropping down to the fifth position. Managing to remain steady is IN2IT’s Snapshot, which maintained its second position from last week. GFriend’s Time For The Moon Night and HALO’s O.M.G took out the third and fourth positions respectively.

Just missing out on a position within the top 30 is Wanna One’s Boomerang and The Rose’s Baby. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any impressive (30+) jumps this week, as there have been multiple in the last two weeks!

I really need to figure out a new way to start this post. But welcome to the 4th week of April 2018. And it is Sunday (or Saturday, depending on where you live). So you all know it is time for the weekly charts! Before this gets any cheesier, let’s go forward with the post!

Topping this week’s chart is VIXX’s Scentist, which was released last week. Also released last week is IN2IT’s Snapshot, which I can say now is extremely addictive. Shine by Pentagon has been on the charts for a while but this is their first week in the Top 3 since its release. Last week’s number 1 song (What Is Love? by TWICE) drops down to fourth place, while Eric Nam’s Honestly completes this week’s lineup of the Top 5.

Last week I acknowledge some of the songs that jumped up quite a large amount of positions. We saw the same thing this week with Wanna One’s IPU and BSS’s Just Do It, with both songs jumping over 30 positions to return to the Top 30.  Just missing the mark this week in 31st and 32nd place is Mad Clown & Ailee’s Thirst and Winner’s Everyday respectively.

I will try to keep up with the releases but as I get to the ‘business end’ of my semester, things will get a little hectic and I will fall behind. Topping the charts this week is TWICE with What Is Love?. Last week’s number 1 song, Love It Like It by YDPP, dropped down 1 position to the second position. Following YDPP are two songs jumping over 30 positions from last week to be in this week’s Top 5. This includes Blooming Days by EXO-CBX and Love Tint by Hyungseob X Euiwoong. Finishing off the Top 5 is EXID’s Lady who slipped last week but regained their footing this week.

Mentioned above are very large jumps in positions. Including those mentioned above, we also see the collaboration between Lee Hong Ki and Yoo Hwesung jump from positions 43 to 7. Eric Nam’s Potion also jumped 35 spots to the 17th position.
