This is the earliest a Weekly Chart post has been published this year! Can you believe it? University is in full swing but I am not going to let that stop me from posting early or not posting at all! I will be posting normally, so don’t worry! This is the weekly chart post for the 4th and final week of February 2018.

We have a new king on the throne. Rather, NCT U are bosses for this week with their most very addictive track, Boss. Following very closely behind (like really close) is CLC’s Black Dress. Seventeen dropped down to the third position, while new songs this week (NCT U’s Baby Don’t Stop and WJSN’s Dreams Comes True) round out the top 5.

We have a few comebacks from this week that will be making their debut on the charts next week (due to their release date being on Friday and me not getting around to them in time). They include Jooyoung’s Dive and Sungmin’s Day Dream. Also dropping songs next week are Wanna One, MXM, Mamamoo, NCT Dream and a few others.

Welcome all back to another weekly edition of the KPOP Charts! We are now in the 3rd week of February and many releases came our way this week. We saw NCT U, Yang Yoseob, BoA, CLC, Weki Meki and VRomance make their respective comebacks this week.

Taking the top spot for the second week in a row is expectedly SEVENTEEN and their comeback single, Thanks. Sunmi’s Heroine also rosed back into the top 5, taking the second position. NCT U and BoA made their respective debuts on the chart with their latest releases, while Momoland rounds out the top 5.

Apologies for the absent over the weekend. I only intended to be absent for the two days but due to multiple family events and the Lunar New Year, I had no time to focus on the site.

But now I am back with this week’s edition of the Weekly Charts. I personally hope you all had a great week, particularly with Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year.

Seventeen is no stranger to the top of the charts with their title track, Thanks, taking this week’s top spot. Taking over the second position for their second time during their run on charts is the digital song reigning over the charts in South Korea. I am referring to iKON’s Love Scenario. Last week’s number 1 song, Baby It’s U (by Jung Sewoon) dropped down to the third position. Momoland and Red Velvet finish off the top 5 for this week.

I am racing to get this out just before midnight where I live. So let’s get this week’s edition of the Weekly Charts on the road! Joining the charts this week is CLC and Seventeen with their respective releases. It has been a relatively quiet week with the new comebacks and debuts. Mainly because Lunar New Year is fast upon us.

As we are speaking about Lunar New Year, I will (most likely) not be posting on Thursday or Friday this week due to the celebrations and traditions that I take part in. I don’t think there will be many new releases this week anyway because of the upcoming national holiday in South Korea and the Olympics. So if I don’t see you then, I wish you all a happy Lunar New Year full of health, luck, peace and joy.

Back to the charts, We have a new song on the top, effectively knocking out Sunmi’s Heroine from her hold of the top position after 3 weeks. Jung Sewoon takes out this week’s number 1 spot, while Chungha also rises to take the 2nd position. Seventeen’s Thanks also takes bronze this week, while VAV and Golden Child follow behind in fourth and fifth positions respectively.

January has just flown by and we already are in February. It is a little scary. But don’t worry, it is still going to fun year (like they say – ‘time flies when you are having fun’). Welcome to the Weekly Chart posting for the 5th week of January 2018. Joining us on the charts today is VAV, Suzy, Rainz, Red Velvet, Gugudan and the Queen of KPOP herself, BoA.

But there is another Queen reigning on the charts and she isn’t moving from the top spot anytime soon. I am referring to Sunmi and her hit, Heroine. Following closely behind is VAV with Spotlight and iKON’s Love Scenario, which debuted on the charts last week. Infinite is staying within the top 5 for another week in the fourth place with Tell Me, while To Heart by Fromis_9 finishes of the top 5 for this week.

Rising to the top is Momoland’s Boom Boom, which earned the group their very first win on MCountDown in the past week! Infinite debuts with Tell Me on the charts in the second position while Kriesha Chu rosed from the bottom of the charts to 3rd position. Last week’s number 1 song, Paint Me by Mamamoo, dropped slightly to 4th position, while Oh My Girl rounds out the top 5 with Secret Garden.

Welcome to back to this week’s edition of the Weekly Charts. Christmas season is in full swing and I partook in present shopping this year, which is a first for me. I know, how adult of me. Just an interesting fact that I wanted to share.

DAY6’s final monthly release, I Like You, took out this week’s top position on the chart, while KARD rose back to take out the second position. Charm of Life (a collaboration between Super Junior and Mamamoo), Hands Up (by B.A.P) and Heart Shaker (by TWICE) took out 3rd – 5th position this week, completing the top 5.

The comebacks are becoming a little scarce as we are reaching the final stages of the year. Mainly Christmas releases will be dominating. As far as confirmed releases go, only EXO is confirmed (as far as I am aware).

Just a heads up, this will be the final Weekly Chart to be released on a Sunday. This is because I will be taking a few days off during the Christmas period for a family trip and will not be able to post the charts on Sunday. I am hoping to get it posted on Wednesday 27th. As for the new year’s weekend, the chart will be posted on the 2nd of January 2018 (the first Tuesday of the year).

We are fast approaching the end of the year as we enter into December. In a few weeks time, we are celebrating how 2017 has been and how we hope for the new year to be. Naturally, that also extends to KPOP as well. And to celebrate 2017, I have opened the survey to the 2017 KPOPREVIEWED AWARDS, which you can vote for your favourites by clicking the link here!

This week, Hyuna’s return successfully took out the top spot on the charts with her latest comeback, Lip & Hip. Red Velvet remained steady with Peek-A-Boo, while SEVENTEEN’s Clap returned to complete the Top 3. KARD and Lovelyz both finish off the top 5 for this week.

Extremely big week in KPOP this week with the award season starting with a bang with MAMA and MelOn. Extremely big congratulations to everyone who won and were nominated. Talking about award seasons, get ready for some big news this week. More information will be provided once I finish all the preparations, so be prepared!!

Last week’s top 3 remained in the top 3 positions, with some shuffling involved. KARD eventually claimed the top spot, with You In Me, their 3rd Number 1 song this year. Both Red Velvet and EXID dropped down one position this week, taking out second and third positions respectively. Steady artists SEVENTEEN and Astro rose to the 4th and 5th spots this week.

Hyuna and DAY6 will be having their comeback next week, while The Boyz will be making their debut. GOT7 will be releasing another version of their 7 for 7 album but I am unsure whether there will be new tracks featured on the re-release.

Welcome to the 3rd Week of November, where we are officially one week closer to the start of 2018. To know the year has gone by so fast, it is kind of scary. No major updates this week. More album reviews will be released and hopefully, I try to get some other reviews out.

Both EXID and SEVENTEEN maintain their positions from last week (1st and 2nd positions respectively). Wanna One’s repacked album title track, Beautiful, debuts at 3rd positions. The number of comebacks this week really managed to push me to my limits, particularly since I had my final exam this week. But I managed to cover most of the major releases this week. Coming out on top with their recent release is EXID with their hella catchy DDD (which I listen to right at this moment). Seventeen followed closely behind with Clap, while Sonamoo’s I (knew it) ranked 3rd this week. Rounding out the top 5 is Super Junior’s Black Suit and TWICE’s Likey (the only song from last week to remain in the top 5).

Next week seems to be a quiet week, which I am grateful given the past week. Wanna One, Lovelyz, Fly To The Sky, Samuel and Red Velvet will be making their respective comebacks this week.
