All Day I Think About You – 2PM

Source: http://cdn.popdust.com//wp-content/uploads/2013/05/2PM-ADTOY-Feature.jpg

Woah, long overdue review much? Released like over 3 weeks ago or something, 2PM made their official comeback with A.D.T.O.Y, while “Come Back When You Here This Song” (review here), aka. the longest song name to date ever. Once again they have a quite a long title, this time they shortened the song to an abbreviation with no meaning. Congratulations JYP. You have done well. I also lied. Yesterday, I tweeted (Twitter Here!!!) that I will post new reviews on the 8th and 9th of June. I lied. Today is the 31st of May. I am a horrible person, I know. Guess this review is unexpected right?

Wow. I am surprised that the guys are not ranked as high. Actually, have they won an award yet? Have they actually won one award yet? Gasp!!!!! Anyway, this song is amazing. The vocals are amazing and the rap by Taecyeon and Chansung were pretty cool as well. Junho and Nichkhun sang the chorus which sounded amazing. They also did some high voice. At first, I thought this was kind of weird. It sounds like guys shrieking. After a while, I realized that this is a pretty cool addition to the song. Junsu and Wooyoung both sound great as well, however, not much emphasis is placed on them in the song as well. The song itself is about how a guy thinks about his girl. Heart yearning for her. All the cheesy but sounds amazing when in song form.

The music video is okay. Black and white, sex, sex, sex and sex. Did I miss something? Oh, yeah. I pretty much don’t like the music video for this song. It is kind of empty. There are many closeups and the guys themselves look really cool. I guess they went for a more casual feel this time around. I was quite disappointed. It is not flashy. I, to be honest, prefer Come Back When You Hear This Song more than this music video. The other has colour and is more colourful. Actually you can see that the use of black and white is getting a bit too trendy. If it fits the feel of the song, which here, it does not, then no, it is a horrible use of effects. So yeah, nay for the music video.

As for the live, the use of chairs seems fresh, simple and quite appealing. Their dance too is sexy as well, rubbing backsides and asses. The dance itself is really good, but it seems that the members are lacking emotion on stage.

So here, I am typing a review while watching Castles. 7/10. As I said, I prefer Come Back When You Hear This Song. That is the last time I am going to refer to that song ever again. It takes too long to type or write it out.

Wild – Nine Muses

Source: http://cdn.popdust.com//wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Nine-Muses-Wild-Feature.jpg

Nine Muses recently made their comeback last week, with Wild. Much different than their previous hits like Dolls, News and Ticket. Wild, goes for the more “wild” side of the group. This comeback showcases a much more “wild” image of the girls and give them a new look. Now after seeing the music video, I don’t think I will be able to look at these girls in the same light then I have ever seen them in.

I love the piano parts in this song. It matches the electro feel of the instrumental, and the ending is totally amazing. The vocals in this song are pretty good, not too bad or average. The rap was amazing. To me, the whole song went nicely and it flowed. No random instrumental and vocals slowing the song down. The English in this song were quite fine. “It feels like you’re getting wet, it feels like you’re slowly spreading” was one of the translated lyrics in the song. Yeah, I don’t want to go into that much depth, but wow. I’d tap that.

The music video consists of a really dark place, lips, a lot of fondling, some dance scenes and a lot more fondling between girls. Stop it guys. Don’t scroll down to watch the music video now so you can check them out and fap to it. Keep reading this review first. The only complaint with this music video is the white skin. It looks artificial and to me, does not look appealing. The light or effect used on this confused me, along with the smoke, but the skin color of the girls kind of ruined it for me. I don’t mean this in the racist way, but the lighting or effect distracted me a lot I this music video. Again, I don’t mean this in a racist way.

The dance is pretty cool. Did you see the ending. Amazing with the piano keys. The start was really cool as well, and it seems that the girls always have great formations when it comes to their choreography.

9/10.

Miss Korea – Lee Hyori

mklh

Lee Hyori has finally made her comeback after 2-3 freaking long years. The Queen is back and is ready to shine with a new song that is totally rocking. She won’t be making her official comeback until the end of the month, but she had recently released her single: Miss Korea. Not the best song, but damn it is catchy. Meaningful, which is different, something KPOP is lacking a lot in lately (Sunny Hill, where you at?) My question is though: Who is excited for the Queen?

Miss Korea has that really old feel to it. Country-70 ish feel. Actually, more of a rock feel to it. The song is damn catchy. It is amazing and really sets us up for comeback. I think this is a splendid way to start making friends anticipating. The instrumental is pretty cool as well. The lyrics are very very meaningful. Seriously guys. The song talks about that is “stereotypical” of a girl in today’s society. Designer handbags, plastic surgery, beautiful faces. I think the song is trying to say: regardless of your face, your skin colour, your education, your fashion and your upbring; every girl is a “Miss Korea”. “Are you tired of being among the many names?“, “Will a designer bag make me shine?“, “Does it feel like it’s your fault when something goes bad?” are just some of the lines in this song that hit the audience hard (in the face) with its message. I really love how the song ends: “You’re Miss Korea”. Excellent song!!!

I love the black and white feel of the song. It matches the song quite well and gives a further, more in-depth “old fashion” feel to the song. I also think the clothes and dresses that she wears in the music video, as well, gives off that feel as well, adding more to the music video than what meets the eye. I love how the music video takes the literal meaning of the song, and exaggerates it. Designer bags? So Lee Hyori sticks all of these famous brands on a horrible looking bad, and then shows off. Best face? Huge eyebrows, just for laughs.

There is no dance to this song. From what I saw in the music video was not what I would classify as a dance, so yeah.

9/10. Really good. Remember girls, you are all “Miss Korea”. Now, I should be getting back to my chemistry homework, that or sleep. I need sleep. I want to sleep. But I need to do my homework, yet here I am typing this up. YAY!!!!!

Walk By… – Teen Top

wbtt

Teen Top returned with a new song as their repackaged album, late last month. They only promoted this song for a week, before setting off for a tour if I am not mistaken. While Miss Right showed a much more fun side of Teen Top, this song brings out more fun and more games. Much different from their past songs, but quite addictive.

Yes, this song is quite different. Their past songs are quite serious like Clap, No Perfume On You(?), Crazy, Supa Love, To You. Miss Right is a song that I would still deem as a serious song, but this song was quite unexpected. It’s addictive, has a great instrumental and the vocals are pretty good. It is not the best song out there at the moment, but it will become one of my favourite Teen Top songs ever. It’s fun, joyous and a change of image that reflects Miss Right, but also changes their image a bit.

The music video is just a mash up of them practicing for their showcase or concert, along with scenes from their pre released song, which I have forgotten the title to. Damn, these exams are going to do my head in. So there really is not much to talk about in the music video. Beside that there was a lot of walking.

The dance, for me, seems quite lame. I am not technically impressed with it, but hey it is only just a follow up promotion song, so they had a limited time frame to create a new choreography.

7/10.

I am also going to be using this review to announce that I will be taking around 3 weeks off, starting on the 16th of May. Reviews will be coming out still, however, they won’t be as frequent and have been written all before hand. I should get a start on them today though. I will be back around the 14th of June-ish.

Mama Beat – LC9 ft. Gain (Brown Eyed Girls)

Source: http://kpopconcerts.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/LC9-Group.jpg

Mama Beat has finally made their debut with an epic song. Seriously guys. It is so epic that I have to talk about it and it has only been a few days since it has been released. This song is quite addictive and at the same time. The music video is quite addictive. They also do live up to their name of “Brown Eyed Boys”. Like their female counterpart, they are not afraid to be “different”.

Was I blown away with this song or what? Seriously, these guys live up to the standard which brown Eyed Girls have created for them. Their rapping is something quite different than what we see with other bands. Their vocal is amazing, but quite disappointed that it was not showcased in this song, unlike their teasers. “Mama Beat” is really catchy and just those words in the song is already something quite interesting. I really do like the punkish feel that they gone for, but as for the instrumental  it was a little bit too electro for me.  Not sure about that weird noise at the start of the song, but I think it lead into the song okay. I enjoyed the chorus, which was quite catchy as well. Not really keen on Gain’s part in the song. It seemed to slow down the song (yes, once again) a huge load. But overall, I really like the song.

The music video is quite interesting as well. However, my question is: How are they not dead by the end of the video? From what I see, getting punched in the head with a metal knuckle thing, a brick thrown at your head, punches that look fatal (I take that experience from watching Kung Fu movies), getting stepped on the balls, a crowbar hit across the head, a broken neck and what I really like the most, the axe severing major arteries and veins in the video. I am actually surprised that they were still fighting and laughing at the end. Fools, what is wrong with you? No one battles for fun but ends up going to the hospital for laughs. And where are the police in this neighbourhood? (Note: I did some research. The youngest one is actually made age. Scary. And then again Zelo is a month older than me). Also while we are on the topic of B.A.P, this music video makes them look “tame”. I took that from a YouTube watcher. You have to agree though. Also, who cares if they used B.A.P’s set. It is not like other KPOP stars have used the same props before!

The dance is quite something as well. Too hard for me to follow though. However, the first time I heard them, I had to admit they were horrible. But after listening to them on Music Core, they sound pretty good. Probably a mic problem or something.

7.5/10. Overall pretty good. In the playlist below, I have also linked their English version of the pretty good song. Forgot what it was called though. But their vocals are pretty amazing. Their English may not be the best though. Also, watch the music video at your own expense. It was rated with a 19+ rating in South Korea, and it may go the same way overseas as well.

What’s Going On? – B1A4

wgob

B1A4 is finally back with a new song, which seems to travel back in time. Before 2012 where the boys were dead serious. When they had more fun on stage and having a serious face and extremely hard to follow choreography. However, it seems that the boys have gone a long way with this song and have improved a lot.

Seriously guys, I had to like push back reviewing this song many times. The first time was before the actual song was actually released. The second time was waiting for a music video. And once again because I took a week off earlier this month. Anyway, the song returns the, to their debut period however has a different feel to it. I find this song much better then Beautiful Target and OK! I like it how the lines are more evenly spread out to the members. Gongchan actually has more than 2 lines in the whole song. The instrumental of the song was amazing. The like the rap and that little vocal part which Baro has. The only complainant is the bridge. It feels out of place in the song. It slowed down the song a little too much.

As for the music video. What The Fudge Cake seems to sum it up, don’t you think? I was more confused that a baboon flirting with a red penguin. Seriously, who thought of this better own up. Wait. Praise The Lord everybody. The guys seem to be spying on a girl and calling her to see how she is going, a lot of the time. They combined all their efforts in this task. However, she is spotted dating with a guy. Moving the sorry along, the guy sense something is wrong (Maybe Baro should never have had choked the poor fellow) and boards up the room. There is no food and no toilet in there, you know that right? Afterwards the guys break in and kill the boyfriend. Talk about the killer pillow. Not sleeping near mine tonight. Then they attack each other to be the girls new boyfriend. Woo. I think I did okay summing the plot up. You watch the video and probably be like me: WTF?? I also loved the box idea of the whole music video. Those zoomed out parts add a whole different meaning the to the video.

The live is pretty cool. I like the dance. It is more out there and relaxed than their previous song. Liked the ending a lot. It seems to coordinated and fun. It seems like Nine Muses Wild (which you can view the review here).

Sorry that this review was a bit long. I blame the confusing music video. 8.5/10.

Come Back When You Hear This Song – 2PM

Source: http://seoulbeats.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/20130506_seoulbeats_2pm_grown.jpg

Aka. The longest title for a song ever. Sigh. 2PM is finally back after making their fans music deprived for around 1-2 years now. That must be a record for a popular KPOP group. Despite being shunned by the queen of KPOP herself, 2PM still ranks fairly high with this song. They are also due to release a new song, which will be their second title track sometime next week.

The song is quite addictive. To be precise, it is the best song on their album. Hopefully their next song off the album is better or have the same standard. It seems like the members are given more equality in the song. Something that many KPOP bands are lacking in. Sistar, SHINee, Teen Top, 4 Minute, BTOB just to name a few. But this song is really good. I love the addition of the piano and love how the dance fits the beat and the actual instruments of the song. The feel is much different and it proves that a band does not need to have a electro beat song to do well. This song is quite the opposite, but also has a big impact. I enjoyed the rap of the song and really found the chorus well done. The only complaint I have with the song is that … oh wait… there is no complaint whatsoever. First song in a while. So yeah, quite satisfied with the outcome of the song. (Oh, love the JYP part in the song.

As for the music video, I really like the whole idea of the so called “sins”. Lust, Envy, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony and Wrath all brings one person’s pride down. I love how it is also tied together in  like a little bunch of flowers. the only word that seems out of place here is Sloth. For some reason, sloth sounds really harsh. I am thinking of laziness or something along the lines of that. It sounds much formal. Also, love the effects in this video with the speakers. Those speakers are big and add some depth into that beautiful night view on the very top of the building. I also love the black and white feel of the video, despite the video being filmed in colour. I will let you ponder of that. 😛

The dance is quite confusing for me. So I won’t judge it. *Inserting hard judging eyes here*.

8.5/10. Pretty good. Awaiting their live stage and their next release.

Should Have Treated You Better – UBeat

Source: http://d1i45kki000yqu.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/ubeat_mv.jpg

UBeat recently made their subunit debut. The group itself was a good idea. However, the song and the “featuring” member is not as exciting as I first thought it would. So basically, when they had no plans of debuting a subunit at that time in an interview when they first released Standing Still (REVIEW). I have noted that this subunit is rushed! Rushed. Also, how many of you guys knew that Kevin was a featured in the song? That is right! Kevin is not part of UBeat. That kind of stuffed up their pattern and all of that what not.

The song is okay. It is not bad, but it is not good. Can’t really lean over to one side for this one. I like UKISS as a band because of their never ending determination to get first place on a music show. However, guys. I don’t think this is just right. Eli, Kevin and AJ are quite well known. Maybe Dongho, Hoon or Kiseop should have a chance in promoting a song of their own or form a subunit. Or do something like T-Ara N4, where a half of them are promoting in country, while the other in another. But let’s get back to the point. Kevin gets majority of the song, while AJ gets a decent amount in the song. Eli, he gets the short hand of the stick. Also, the song is really bland and plain and there is not wow factor in the song. The rap and vocals are pretty good overall.

The music video is really boring. Just a bunch of close ups of the members and that is about it. Some dance scenes but really boring video to watch. The effects as well are pretty boring. Just wish to say, how cold it must be to film out there.

The dance is okay. Not bad, not good. Nothing to wow us here.

5/10. I was expecting something to make them big, but yeah. I guess they fail once again. Something sounds rather familiar.

Yoo Hoo – Secret

I had to okay?
Source: http://popdust.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/SECRET-YooHoo-MV-7-659×355.jpg

Secret is back with a brand new song. A new song that brings us back to the retro days and their award winning days. Shy Boy and Starlight Moonlight are the songs that brought Secret to higher grounds by winning awards. Did you know that? Their common theme, was the aegyo style. Poison and Talk That both ranked pretty high, coming 2nd in some cases, but did not have enough votes and popularity to win. As for Yoo Hoo, as it contains the ageyo style which many of us enjoy (men in particular), will they win? Or will Lee Hyori and 2PM take all the glory? Who knows?

Yoo Hoo is a very cute song. The title, maybe a little misleading, but overall the song pretty cool. I don’t have much to complain about the song. The only thing I have to complain about is the rap. Not the one at the end of the song. I have no problems with that. The ones in the verses, however, seemed to just be thrown in there to give Jung Hana some more lines (For those who don’t know, Zinger is Jung Hana. She just recently changed her stage name). The instrumental is quite addictive and the chorus was pretty cool. Their vocals have dramatically increases, each sounding better each time they make a comeback. The song talks about a girl who is trying to get out of the “friendzone”. I think. I may need to get back to you guys about that one.

The music video is quite funny. Hyosung was quite Hilarious in this video. But I will get back on that point a bit later. The music video starts off as the girls go on a holiday and a boat. They seem to be having the time of their life but soon becomes shipwrecked. Now, that boat looked like a bit grand. But why only does some planks of wood that comes from a different boat, maybe one a lot of cheaper, wash up to shore. They also seemed to be quite prepared for that. They have a mirror, dry set of clothes, a sand castle kit and an oar. Seems like they were not going to Bondi Beach or Surfer’s Paradise. An Australian Joke there. Anyway, they aimlessly try to find there way “off” the stranded island. They successfully find their way “off” the “deserted” island after finding a map and a guy’s jacket. Conveniently placed there. Just saying. Turns out they were not on the a deserted island, but near a rather busy highway. But it is how they get picked up is pretty funny. Here they let go of their shame and Hyosung, really acts silly here. But did you see who picked the group up! It was an old lady. Old Lady I say….

The dance is pretty cool. Liked how basic it was overall. The chorus and all were just perfect. However sport shoes don’t really seem to fit the feel of the song at all.

9.5/10. Really good. Will recommend to any fans out there. Linked below is also their Only U song as well. Have fun!

Jeon Won Diary – T-Ara N4

Source: http://www.allkpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/20130418_taran4_countrysidelife2.jpg

T-Ara N4 has made their long awaited unit debut with a really cool hip hop mashed up with folk music track. Seriously, if you really do think that this is a bad combination. Think again. I am not a fan of both hip hop and country/folk. But seriously, this song uses both really well, and both match quite well. Okay, more about this subunit. It consists of 4 members: Hyomin, Ahreum, Eunjung & Jiyeon. Or the “popular” members of the group. The other three: Qri, Boram and Soyeon will be a subunit in Japan. Smart, but really a bad initiative, at this time. After their scandal, should they not be promoting as one group. A song is not enough you know?

The song is quite interesting. The instrumental is amazing, with the traditional instrument in the chorus was pretty cool. I am totally taken surprised when the same SPEED member “featured” in this song. Seriously, he gets all the popularity and the others get the other end of the stick. And did he creep out of nowhere? There was no mention in previous articles about him being their debut. The rap itself is pretty cool. I love the part before the chorus. It is my favourite part of the song. The chorus was meh, but it passed my standards. Ring-a-ring-a-ting? Anyone? No?

The music video is quite weird. I only just watched the “drama” version of the videos and it seems to be a child of the Gangnam Style music video. Weird and wacky. Hyomin, I think was pretty funny. I love the fact that they actually put reality into the video and I am amazed about the crappy feel this video has. Sorry not for me.

As for the dance version, it was much better. No weird bunnies jumping around. I am pretty cool with this video. It matches the hip hop feel of the song. The colour is pretty good. Something, that KPOP videos seems to be missing a lot lately. There is not much colour at all. Hmmm… By far, I prefer the dance version over the drama version. I don’t have much to complain about anyway.

The dance is pretty cool. I love the different formations. I love how basic the dance feels. I love the part where they are mocking (in a good way) country people and that dance where Eunjung was singing. I love the chorus bit. Basically, I love EVERYTHING in the dance.

9/10. Seriously guys! I think this is the first time I gave T-Ara a pretty good score. Maybe excluding Cry Cry (Which you can see here!) for the dance version review and (Here) for the drama version. Also, Did anyone else feel that the teasers were a bit weird? The upgraded version had an extra second. OMG. An extra second!! So rare.

Dreamer – History (ft. IU)

Source: http://lovequakes.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/history.png

History made their debut recently with Dreamer which to me is a really great song. As dubbed by their company, as the opposite of Fiestar, they are living up to their standards. They are a group of 5 guys, who sound amazing and are great at harmonizing. Seriously if you are looking for a talent male group, this is one that should be on your list. Okay, stop me. Before…..

Spectacular. Amazing. Lovely. Ummm… I am running out of words. Basically, I totally like this song. Though it seems that this is just a rookie group, this group has amazing vocals and really good rapper. Don’t underestimate them, okay? The way they sing the song is really great. If I was to compare them to a well known artist, I guess 5 Whitney Houstons’? Probably a horrible example, but you will get my flow. They rely a lot of vocals which is very important. Their chorus is pretty good, along with their verses. I will be following this group from now on. You betcha! Also, IU’s part seems quite good, after you learn what she really says. If you don’t well, it is just a waste of music, I guess.

The music video, on the other hand, is not that great. It is not memorable like SHINee’s Why So Serious or 4 Minute’s What’s Your Name? each of which I have reviewed (Here) and (Here) respectively. I don’t really understand the music video at all. At first, there seems to be some Russian spy who is really suspicious who is spying on the people who live in the house. Yeah, I am going to stop ruining the music video before I get to the other parts. I love the set which they are dancing on. Looks amazing and really good. Gives off that old Hollywood look to it, which seems to be spread out in the video a lot. That girl too is really pretty. But beside the fact that the music video makes no sense whatsoever, it was okay.

Okay this group is putting their name out there via vocals not dancing. There is not much of a dancing that would be memorable. There is dancing and they seem pretty good at it. But they give off this feel that “I don’t want to dance, because I suck at it”. Good points for giving it a try though.

9/10. Really good.

Why So Serious? – SHINee (minus Jonghyun)

Source: http://cdn.popdust.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Shinee-Why-So-Serious-Feature.jpg

SM Entertainment had a few choices here. Obviously, they chose the worst one of all. Jonghyun recently was involved in an accident, where his nose somehow got injured. It was announced that he would not be able to perform and promote this song with them. Since SHINee had promised that they will make a comeback, they did. At least, someone from SM can keep their promise (Referring to EXO here). But, like some people, I am not impressed with the song as Dream Girl (Review Here!!!). It is a great song, but Taemin, you are just…. Taemin is the dancer of the group. But WHY THE HELL did he GET PROMOTED TO MAIN VOCALIST???? Onew, Minho and Kay got around 40% of the song. Taemin, himself, got around 60% of the song. Disappointment there. At first I thought Onew would get more lines or Minho would have more singing lines. Instead, Minho actually seemed to get less lines in this song compared to Dream Girl. I don’t hate Taemin. I think his voice is good. But I thought at least  the four can split the song up into equal parts. Did not happen at all.

Beside that, the song is quite good. I like the new rock fresh theme. It seemed hardcore. But the use of the high note at the very start did not seem right at all. I thought the bridge of the song was quite lacking and that the start of the song was too powerful. Seems like they got confused. Go home, high note. You’re drunk. But seriously guys. I think this is the best song ever by SHINee. The fresh feel is something that I don’t see many KPOP artists doing. I love the chorus. It is so catchy and sounds really good. The rap also sounded very good. Minho, Key and… Taemin sound pretty good. Taeman seems to have improved greatly with his vocals, along with Key. I would not mind if SHINee (all five members) kept doing rock.

The music video is quite okay. The darkness of the video fitted the the rock beat of the song. The “boxes” that they are in look quite unique. If only other SM artists had good boxes to sing in. I also quite like the PLOT in this video. Really it is just a girl who is fooled by her imagination, thinking she is dating SHINee. When the police come though, SHINee acts all scared. But it turns out the girl was lonely. Forever alone. I had to. I am sorry. I like the contrast between the dark feel and the white room. Quite different in the KPOP world.

The dance to was really cool. Zombies, sleeping dead people and the mini jump. Pretty cool.

8/10. And that is me, excluding my little rant on top.

What’s Your Name? – 4Minute

Source: http://d1i45kki000yqu.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/4min_mv_2.jpg

4Minute is finally back with a brand new, badass song. Described as “Fantasy Hip Hop”, I think the world “Pop” summed the song up really well don’t you think? It is not your average pop song, but it still what I consider as pop. As for our zombie demographic, Hello! Sorry for neglecting you guys. You guys are finally in a video. That and T-Ara’s Zombie Lovey Dovey version. Don’t eat my brains please.

At first, listening to this song. I was quite disappointed. But after listening to it for the 1075895893456489534895x time, I actually find it quite addictive and it, honestly, sounds very attractive. This is the badass song that I have been waiting for since their previous hit songs. They claim the song will take you back to the Muzic era. I don’t really feel anything, except for the fact that I did not go back in time at all. Quite disappointed. I actually like the song. The beat was amazing. I love the chorus and the rap that Hyuna has. The English parts are quite good as well, “What’s Your Name?”. The start however sounded quite familiar. Ice Cream anyone? Just one small complaint though. Give the leader some more lines!!! She seemed quite sad with only like 2 lines in the whole song, while the other members got 609756867567 lines. Seriously!!!

Zombie fail attack
I don’t know why YouTube stuffed up! I blame the flashing lights in the video.

The music video on the other hand seemed quite random. At first, it seemed normal. Until the zombie apocalypse came. Well, just to point it out, they still look quite attractive despite drooling for brains. Yeah, I tap the zombies anyway. Hence, why I am going to focus mainly on the zombie side of the music video. I guess we can say: That was a pleasant surprise  If you were expecting that, there is something wrong with you. If that is a good thing or a bad thing, I won’t say. Now I guess they reacted like normal people when they first say the news. But how they reacted when the zombies came that got me raising my eyebrows. JiHyun (?) is suing her police baton which she basically stole from the policeman earlier in the video to her advantage. So is the maknae, grabbing the chair. As for the other three, crouching down with a bunch of zombies won’t do much. Nor will holding a hairdryer will help your life. What is going to happen? Is the zombie going to be blown away?

As for the dance, I thought it was cool. It also seems that 4 Minute will be going back to their lip syncing problems. That or the performance did not match up with the music. But overall, pretty cool.

7.5/10. Pretty cool overall.

Here is my question: Does the start of “What’s Your Name?” sound like the start of “Ice Cream” by Hyuna? Just like the first two seconds?

Shaking Heart – C-Clown

C-Clown is once again on the stages (for a week, I guess) with a new song. Seriously, where did they disappear to? I know they would have other schedules, but it has been 2 weeks since they released their single. It seems like they left. Oh well. Now, I have to make this paragraph longer by typing more. How are you? Okay? Happy? Sad? *Insert funny face here*

Classy yet still keeping their image. Their english at the start, was damn right powerful. Their vocals were superb and the rap was amazing. I really like the beat and instrumental of the song. As I said, it had class in it and sounded really good. The chorus sounded pretty good and was quite addictive. However, like BTOB’s most recent review (Click here for it!), I don’t have much to say about it. I like the song, but also do have this neutral feeling towards it. I don’t think they will win an award with the song. It keeps their image, but the song is not enough to have them win (When I say win, I mean in terms of the song, not the member’s look). Also the ending of the song was abrupt  End of the story.

Wow, was I blown away by the music video or not? That start with the microphone dropping out of nowhere was amazing. Why has no other KPOP director thought of that. Yes, you have swag. Yeah, I had visibility problems. It was either too dark, or the lights were shining at the camera, when they were dancing. I guess they tried of make a dark scene, but add some artificial lighting, but it did not work. The hat dance at the start was pretty cool as well. Also, I felt the scenes with Hyeri in them, were quite distracting. They were all over the place. I understand they did that for the effect, but seriously, she served no purpose to the music video expect fr staring at the camera and hugging a guy’s back.

The dance is pretty cool. Again, there is nothing to comment about the dance. It was okay, nothing that good to talk about or that bad to point out about.

7/10. Pretty good.

Second Confession – BTOB

BTOB is finally back with a brand new song, called Second Confession. My question is, what was their first confession? Yeah, that is me being lame. Yeah yeah yeah, I know that the second confession would mean that a girl which the song is addressed to, had rejected when the guy first confessed. Then the guy is now asking the girl to listen to his second confession. I know. I am not stupid. 😛

The song is quite cutesy than I expected. BTOB is a dance group with funky songs that have a good beat. This, however, was an u turn for their image. Did not expect at all. Yes, I was also quite disappointed. At first, I thought the song sounded weird. It did not appeal to me at all. After listening to it for a few times, I actually liked the song and really enjoyed the instrumental  Yes, maybe it is not the typical BTOB song that we all know, but at least we know they have guts to “experiment”. The vocals were pretty good. I was totally surprised when Sungjae dominated the chorus. Another thing I was also surprised about. Also, I thought BTOB only had one rapper. Now there are two. Mind-ception.

The music video is quite interesting. Like many other videos which I have reviewed recently, I felt they seemed bland and plain. There was nothing that got me to the edge of my seat for this video. There was nothing that I anticipated. I guess I was more occupied about how “fate” got that letter to the girl. But really I thought nothing of the video beside that. It was not good but at the same was not bad. Neutral feeling. What people need more in the world!

The dance fitted the beat of the song. Actually, until I watched the performance the first time around, I realized there was that mini dubstep sound in the song. Random as it is, it fitted the song. It was not that bad, but did not really kept me hanging.

6/10. Okay, I guess.

( I speak on behalf of all the fangirls. Cuteness overload for the Pyjama version of the music video. However, I felt it was random and sudden. I also don’t think the same way as the fangirls).

With Laughter Or With Tears – Seo In Guk

Source: http://mwave.interest.me/data/enews/News/2013041/52871631.jpg

Seo In Guk recently made his comeback unexpectedly (Well, for me) earlier this month. Seo In Guk has a freaking good voice that many in the KPOP industry wish they had. I am quite surprised when I discovered him. I kind of became a fan at once actually. Okay enough of my crap. Lots to say. Lots to omit. Let’s go!

Wow. Boy, do I like this song? Yes. I absolutely loved this song as soon as I first heard it. Okay, I lied. I had to hear it a few times to like the song. But the first time anyone hears this song, you can feel the emotion which Seo In Guk gives out in this song. I personally loved the autotuned part between the first chorus and second verse. It gave a modern feel and at the same time kept the song full of emotion. The emotion did not bring me to cry, but it was really good. The song, however, would have sounded better with some kind of faster beat. Not too fast, but just right.

The music video was quite dark. It kind of sucked. It really felt plain and bland. There was not much difference in the happy and sad scenes of the music video. There was only extra colour in the happy scenes, and that made the whole picture a bit bland. The female lead was really beautiful in this and both acting skills were pretty good. Few things though. Don’t kill me, but that punch made him look funny. Secondly, how big is this particular bedroom. Along why is bed positioned in an awkward angle and at the same time, seemed to have dropped from the ceiling randomly? I also seemed that scene where he apparently “punched” everyone seemed to be quite random. I love it how the mirror is just placed there, solely for the purpose to make sure he looked good and perfect, so no one would be suspicious of him. I, however, loved the cocktail scene. But those ice cubes, what are in them? To break glass just like that? Crazy!

The performance is pretty good. He sounds good live. There is nothing else to say. Look over there!!!

8/10. Really good.
