[Review] Those Days – K.Will

K.Will made his return earlier this week with the second half of his fourth studio album. The first half, Part 1. Nonfiction, was released last year with Nonfiction as the main title track. The second half of the album is titled Part 2. 想像 (Mood Indigo) and it features the title track, Those Days (그땐 그댄). In the lead up to the album, K.Will also released some singles, which you can also find on the album, such as My Star (which I previously reviewed).

Something that I have not heard much of so far this Fall season are ballads. This is quite odd given that we are almost at the end of the perfect ballad season. So when K.Will confirmed his comeback, I was highly anticipating a great ballad. And that is exactly what we got. His vocals are so damn good in this song, it leaves me breathless. A major reason why I really like K.Will’s voice is that he puts so much emotion behind them. This song is just even more proof of that. The song’s melody is very beautiful, particularly around the chorus. I think that there may be some backing vocals in the chorus and his harmonies are amazing. Finally the instrumental was amazing. Nothing beats a graceful orchestral piece for a ballad. Given that K.Will’s forte is ballads (in my opinion – he also really good R&B songs), he did not disappoint.

The music video features Yoo Yeon Seok as the lead actor, who is a suit tailor. While meeting one of his customers, he meets his ex-girlfriend (who has clearly moved on). Nonetheless, he continues with his job despite looking a tad unhappy. Throughout the video, we see flashbacks of their happy relationship but we don’t get to see why they broke up. Back in the present day, the two awkwardly ignore each other. The girl notices a fishbowl, the same bowl that she bought back in the day for another fish. This brings backs memories, which cause her to shed a tear. Once the job was complete, the couple leave. However, it seems like she wants to say something to her ex prior to leaving but he gives her a smile instead, to tell her everything is okay. I think the acting was wonderful in the video. I also liked how they slow motioned everything to an appropriate speed for the song but also making the video feel impactful.

[Review] My Star – K.Will

It has been a while since we last heard from K.Will. His last promotional round was back in September 2017 with Nonfiction, which was also the title track of the first part of his 4th album. Now, K.Will has returned with the 2nd part of his 4th album, which is titled as Will Be A Start. The title track for this release is My Star. From what I am also reading, this is also his second release as part of a trilogy.

Listening to the song, it made me realize how long it has been since I heard K.Will’s voice. I get drawn to the song mainly for its bright vibes and sound, which is extremely suitable for the Spring season in which South Korea is currently experiencing. Much better than the rainy and cold storm I am experiencing at the moment. While the song does satisfy the need of warmth and craving for the singer’s vocals, the song just simply fits into his portfolio. He doesn’t really have much else to offer with the song. Yes, it has a nice melody and a nice feel-good instrumental. There were nice hooks and moments that definitely has me coming back for more (such as the flowy and sway-along-to melody during the chorus and the dragged out bridge). However, it isn’t his most exciting comeback (the twisty Please Don’t take that honour) and hence I am slightly disappointed with its sound.

The music video features Gian84 and WJSN’s Bona, whom both plays neighbours in the video. Gian84 recently moved in and falls in love with his neighbour at first sight, after offering some food to her. While he can’t get his mind off her, he sees her again at a cafe, in which he falls further in love. He has a few dreams about her (after finding it hard to fall to sleep, to which he counts sheep. Literal sheep), which he wakes up from. In end, it seems like their love story continues when she turns up at his door the next morning. It is a nice love story, which was fitting for the song. What is more important is the fact that K.Will appeared in his music video. I think this is his second time featuring in his own music video (the first being a cameo role where he was killed off in Love Blossom). His presence definitely makes the video feel more wholesome.

[Review] Nonfiction – K.Will

K.Will has made his long-awaited return to the stage with a brand new album, titled as Nonfiction, which is also the same name as his title track. This album is the first part of his 4th full-length album. It has been a while since he last promoted on stage. The last being in 2015 with Growing, though he has released singles and collaborations since then.

Nonfiction takes the ballad route with K.Will’s signature husky vocals. The instrumental, along with his vocals, make the song extremely soothing to listen to. I love it when he finishes the lines on a higher note, in the verses. It gives the ballad some variety and colour, which goes nicely with the emotional message in which is trying to convey to us. The song does build up, starting from a soft introduction to a climatic ending using just the same instruments that he started off with. Personally, ballads hit a soft spot for me. And this one does the job perfectly. The only thing that I may say about the song is that there isn’t anything mindblowing or spectacular about it. Instead, it is like every other ballad out there. But if you want a good old ballad, this is the recent release your need to check out.

The music video tells an emotional story, which goes nicely with the K.Will’s singing style. Essentially, the guy works as a tour guide at this old Korean palace and it is the place where he and his former girlfriend used to go out on dates. And while he still remains there, his former girlfriend has moved on. They reunite for a very brief moment when her current boyfriend asks him to take a photo of them. The main guy complies with the request and returns home, only to become more heartbroken. The last few scenes were probably the hardest to get to, as he relives his favourite pastime with his ex (where they dance with each other) but he instead dances alone in his bedroom. I thought it was a very deep and impactful video to watch. And the acting is quite good.

5 Favourite K-Drama OSTs (Part 1)

Welcome back to the ‘Favourites’ segment of my site, where I share my personal picks regarding different aspects. As you may notice, I have decided to go with ‘Favourites’ as the segment name, because they are my favourites. I have also decided to cut down the list from 10 (as originally planned) to five because it would be easier and quicker to write.

This week, I have decided to focus on OSTs or Official Sound Tracks from K-Dramas. I don’t watch that many and the few that I do watch don’t get that much spotlight. But that doesn’t stop the songs from popping up on my playlists or me investigating the various songs that do get released. So in no particular order, these are 5 of my favourite K-Drama OSTs.

Back in Time – Lyn
The Moon Embraces The Sun

I start off the list with the very first OST that I fell in love with. While it was released back in 2011 for the drama, The Moon Embraces The Sun, it is an OST that I keep on going back to for its epic orchestral sound. While Lyn has a few other massive OST hits under her belt (some which I enjoyed), I still firmly believe that this track tops the rest of them. Her vocals draw you in and hold you there for the entire length of the song, not once letting you go.

Stay With Me – Chanyeol (EXO) & Punch
Goblin

Out of all the songs on this list, I think many of you will agree with this one. It’s a more recent OST release, from the K-Drama Goblin and was released in December of last year. The instrumental of the OST is extremely striking and the combination of both Punch’s and Chanyeol’s husky vocals make this one damn good song to listen to.

Talk Love – K.Will
Descendant of the Sun

It has been a while since we last saw K.Will on the stage. However, he has been active in the OST world, singing tracks for a few dramas. One of them belongs to the hit drama, Descendant of the Sun. It makes the list because it makes you smile. I find it quite catchy and K.Will’s vocals are undeniably amazing in this song.

All For You – Seo In Guk & Jung Eunji (APINK)
Reply 1997

This chart-topping OST from 2012 features both Seo In Guk and Eunji (APINK), who also played the lead roles in the same drama. What makes this a great OST is it was easy to get into. It was a simple song, with a simple sound. The English lyrics made it catchy and appeal to many people, including international fans. The vocals of the two were also sweet and dreamy, making them an amazing duet and on-screen partners.

Rise and Shine – Kyuhyun (Super Junior) & Tiffany (SNSD)
To The Beautiful You

The entire drama To The Beautiful You was produced by SM Entertainment and hence it makes sense that the entire OST album was performed by SM Entertainment artists. The standout song from the mix was Rise and Shine, which is an upbeat track, full of amazing vocals from both the main vocalists of Super Junior and SNSD. It reminds me of a musical and gives off a bright atmosphere.

You Call It Romance – K.Will ft. Davichi

One of the top RnB artists of the Korean Pop industry has finally collaborated with the queen duo of Korean Pop ballads.

This is a much better song that what he released last year. To me, this song goes back in time to the Last Blossom days where his songs were a lot more bright and cheerful. So, I found this song very cheerful and bright. The instrument reminds me of that as well. I prefer K.Will’s vocals that way since it sounds a lot better. Davichi’s vocals in this song were pretty good as well, just I sense some autotune was put on top of their vocals. That disappoints me quite a bit, well, since Davichi has a really nice vocals and it is a shame that they are not really recognised for those vocals in this song. The chorus of the songs sounds quite catchy and does have a nice ring to it. The times where they sing “니가 하면 로맨스” throughout of the song was pretty nice but it sounded a little awkward. However, I think if the producers of the song did not place that auto tune on the girls’ vocals, then I would have been more happier.

The music video is a little confusing. It seems like the lead actress is two timing the young guy, who (from what I read from the comments on YouTube) is Hyungwon from Monsta X and the more older looking dude who happens to be a co worker. She is obviously in a dilemma in the video, unsure of who to choose. I assume she was the choice between the “sweet” younger dude or the “warmer” mature dude. Notice how when she returns from the date with the younger guy, her house is full of treats and candy, while when she returns after a coffee date with the older guy, her house is a lot more warmer and Autumn like. In the end, she chose the mature looking dude over the younger dude, which was illustrated by the boxing match between the two guys on her TV, which was apparently very scary. Hahaha no. I find that particular scene extremely cringe worthy. Never liked it how girls from k-dramas act like that to be honest. Towards the end, I am glad she chose the mature dude because the young dude, well, was still in school. And it turns out that he had liked another person instead, which makes the lead actress happy, because she knows she is not making him unhappy. Honestly, a great video with a very cringe worthy way of presenting a scene in the video.

When you put these two videos together, you get a pretty much good release. 8/10

Growing – K.Will

K.Will is back and it has been some time since we last heard of him. Like seriously, when was the last time we heard his name? I haven’t heard of him since last year when he promoted One Fine Day early last year. Yeah, I don’t think he had much going on in the past year or so since this last comeback. His been here and there, but I really cannot remember anything big about the soloist. So that is it for this introduction.

This song is said to be a song that gets K.Will back in touch with his roots. And I don’t feel this song. Yeah, I basically listened to the song once and I never went back. It wasn’t boring, nor was it terrible. K.Will puts out great songs all the time, just this one seems a little too unappealing. To me, it was a very black and white song. Nothing that got my attention. Like I said, K.Will always has amazing vocals in his songs, just this song overall is not really up to par like per usual. The chorus lifts the song up a little bit with the range of notes that he hits. He does pretty well, per usual and always maintains that high standard when he sings. I just can’t think of anything regrading the song. It is a typical K.Will song, just it really isn’t the best in my opinion.

The music video is a little confusing when I last watched it. We see the main dude being sad and depressed despite having his lover next to him. Now I don’t know it was like him in a flashback or he regrets his decision, but we do know that they later break up. It doesn’t seem like a flashback, so I assumed he was acting sad for a reason, which lead to his break up. I am still hoping for a day where K.Will actually plays the lead in one of his music videos. We need to give some recognition for K.Will (you never know, he may be a pretty good actor). His voice is perfect and his songs are perfection, but sometimes I think he needs to be promoted a little more. And since many want him in a music video, imagine the response to that!

I apologise for the shorter than usual review. I wrote this review over the span of like 5 days. So some of my opinions won’t be matching or could be repetitive. Like I said, not feeling this comeback this time around. 4/10

Rewind: March 2015

Through this new segment (Finally got to use that one word), we will be looking back at the third month of 2015. I get to rank my top 10 songs. But we also get to look back at other events that happened in the Korean music industry. This way, I can talk about big events in the KPOP industry and rely my thoughts to you all.

Lee Min Ho and Suzy Dating

This by far is the biggest news of March 2015. Just a few days ago, it was confirmed by both companies that Miss A’s Suzy and Hallyu actor Lee Min Ho are officially dating. More importantly, JYP (Suzy’s company) have announced that Suzy would not avoid questions regarding the couple. Now, usually companies try to “Hush” the rumours, so I thought it was a little wierd that JYP would say Suzy would be answering all questions. Though I get that both companies would have to confirm due to the evidence presented, but I think JYP is milking everything they can out of this big piece of news. Dating in the industry is going to be hard but I wish the very best for the two. Now let’s move along with Miss A‘s comeback, shall me?

Red Velvet First Win

The subheading says it all. Congratulations to Red Velvet on their first music show win. At the time I am writing this, they actually have won 4 music show awards. Their latest song is ________________________________________________________________. Sorry. Let’s leave this here and wait for the review to come out. Soon. I promise. I am not YG. It will come soon. Like next week probably.

2AM Members Change Companies

Another big piece of news with the 2AM members splitting up with their company. No, they are not disbanding (though it sounded a lot like it at first) but 2AM members have decided to go with different companies. Jo Kwon decided to stay with JYP Entertainment. Seulong decided to go with SidusHQ and Jinwoon decided with Mystic Entertainment. Changmin signed with Big Hit after his contract ended with JYP last year (I think?). This kind of says something about JYP Entertainment, but at the same time, we should be glad the ballad group are not going away for now. Let’s hope 2AM comebacks with a new song with this different formation with companies. (On a side note: all 2PM members – contract ended around the same time – resigned with JYP).

Comebacks for April

BIG BANG HAS BEEN CONFIRMED!!! Though, not exactly sure when the comeback is exactly. But BIG BANG HAS BEEN CONFIRMED to be the first YG artist making their comeback in 2015. On top of that, EXID will be making their comeback. Miss A and EXO just made their comeback at the end of the month. Dal Shabet, Mamamoo, Cross Gene have also be confirmed. SNSD (Girl’s Generation) will also be making their comeback in May BUT they will be releasing a track during April in both Japan and Korea.

Yewon and Lee Tae Im Scandal

This scandal I am not familiar with. Essentially what happened is that Yewon spoke informally to Lee Tae Im. After Lee Tae Im got angry and left, Yewon decided to curse out at Lee Tae Im, and hence causing this controversy. Essentially, Yewon is more of a younger person in the industry, so she had to be formal. I get it sometimes. I come from as Asian background and sometimes I don’t think the formality thing is right. Just because they are older does not mean they are right. Imagine this: the older person is cursing the daylights out of you and your loved ones, and you “disrespectfully” defended yourself and your family. Is the older person right and you are at fault? Though this is not what had happened, it seems like the industry zooms in on one part and leave the rest out for every bad situation. We don’t know 100% what happened. We will never know what 100% happened. Something could have happened before that got both angry. Those are just my loosely put together thoughts on the whole thing. Maybe Yewon is in the wrong. But what if she isn’t? Remember I am not siding with her. I am just being “opened minded” about things.

End Of Year Charts 2014

Welcome to the end of the 2014 charts. This chart has every single song that was released from the 1st of January 2014 to the 1st of December. I left the nitty gritty stuff out (aka. the numbers I used for the ranking) and made sure that everything was fair. So that means for songs that were released towards the end of the year would have received some extra increment to make sure that they were levelled out with the songs released in January. Other numbers used included whether songs were on the YouTube Playlist of The Month and each song was re-reviewed in categories of “song, music video and dance”. Below are just some interesting facts that you may enjoy in regards to this chart.

  • The very first song released to be included on the charts are Rain’s 30 Sexy and La Song. The last song released before the cut off date was Infinite F’s Heartbeat.
  • T-Ara’s Sugar Free (2) was the only song throughout the whole chart to score the maximum of 40 for the song re-review.
  • VIXX is the first boy group to appear in the charts at 14th place with Eternity.
  • As touched on above, this year the charts are dominated by the girl groups, with 13 boy groups versus 37 girl groups (repeated groups not excluded).
  • Heavily promoted songs tend to rank higher than songs that were released as a single and not promoted.
  • The following artists achieved the next few positions after 50th place: SPEED, Crayon Pop, Z:EA, Zhou Mi (Super Junior), BTOB, Infinite, UKISS, AOA and Gain (Brown Eyed Girls)

Day 1 – K.Will

K.Will has returned rather unexpectedly with a brand new song. It has been over a few months since we last saw the singer on the stage. We last saw him in November with his song, You Don’t Know Love. That song was proven to be quite successful and now he is back with a different side of him. K.Will has been a singer in the industry for a very long time and have been earning praises from the fellow artists that he shares the stages with from day dot. As always, his songs becomes instant chart toppers and this one is no other.

This song is quite upbeat and shows off the new style of K.Will. It feels like a fresh summer song that we would hear from K.Will because it sounds so good. It does however sound like a typical KPOP song. It really does not carry a unique feel that K.Will is known for. This song is not as catchy as his previous songs, though when you watch the performances, it enhances the song a lot. His sounds pretty good in the song. I like it, but it is not a song that I would go back to listen more and more. What he needs more of is a song that show off his vocals because we all know that he is talented, and some previous songs have highlighted that, just this one, to me, really did not do anything. The instrumental was okay. I think tries to get the message over that regardless of how you look like, there will always be someone out there. “People say I am the best looking, of the worst”. Overall, an okay song.

K.Will makes another appearance in his music videos. I think this being the second one. And this time he is a love counsellor not a theme park operator who gets shot like in Love Blossom.  And he is helping this one young fellow try to get this one girl. We see this guy get ignored by this girl, who is played by Soyu (sorry, the name of the actor slipped from my memory), and that he slowly goes crazy for her, to the point where he starts to stalk her. Like what is with the stalking theme in songs and videos nowadays. Anyway, so basically he tries to get noticed, but gets ignored by the girl, regardless of his plot twist. He tries to impress the girl, but ends up failing, but then he uses the magic flower technique to woo her. Which was quite successful, if we don’t consider that Soyu has been looking at the guy for quite some time and thinks he is quite cute (obviously having feelings for him). But that was revealed when he was going in for a kiss on this date, but was surprised that she always was going in for a kiss at the same time. All those times he was ignored by her actually were times she was looking at him and wanting him as well to be her lover. Nawwwsss.. such a cute video and something that I can kind of relate to. I think it did a great job at telling the story and relating to the lyrics.

The dance is mega cute. I am so sorry. But if you don’t think that way with the head moving, I am going to be very disappointed. Literally every time I hear this song, I just break out and start doing the head dance when the chorus kicks in. And you probably would too as well. Hahahaha…

Song was okay, music video and dance was much better I say it be a 7/10. Still a pretty okay comeback. It just crept up on people.

Peppermint Chocolate – Mamamoo ft. K.Will & Wheesung

Source: http://xiahpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/MAMAMOO-VIXX-KWILL-WHEESUNG-XIAHPOP-770×426.jpg

Hello once again. I apologise for my absence. I was meant to write and publish this review on the Monday, but I guess homework got in the way once again. But anyway, I am back and probably will be writing a whole heap of reviews to be able to schedule them for the next few weeks. Today, I will be reviewing a new rookie group. Wow. Like already 32569050 rookie groups and here I am trying my best to review them. On top of that, Mamamoo, a girl group consisting of members Solar, MoonByul, WhaSa and WheeIn, recruited the help of hit soloists K.Will and Wheesung to be in this song. For those who don’t know, this group debuted in January with the song Don’t Be Happy, featuring Bumkey. I guess this is their comeback, but then again, they really did not promote their other song as well. But not only that, but VIXX’s Hongbin and N participated in the music video of this song as well. But enough background info, on with the review.

This song is freaking amazing. Honestly, I love it and it has to be the new song I am currently digging. That retro and jazzy vibe this song has mixed up with the electro instrumental sound like the most sexiest couple in the world got together and had babies, who were equally as sexy. The rapping in this song is prefect. I cannot ask for more. The vocals are equally amazing. Though I think the girls should have contributed a little more vocal work to the song, putting K.Will and Wheesung into the song makes it quite popular. Now, I know this band has four members. But from start to end, I feel like I only heard one person. I don’t know if I like that or not, but it seems to be pretty original. The song is about comparing love to sweets and candies. Original right? Also, the whole sound of the song overall is much different to any song out there at the moment and probably any song in the future to come. They pulled this song off really well.

The music video is also quite good. I love the filtering of the colours in the video. I don’t know why, but I find this music video really pleasant to watch. There is not much going on and it is overly cluttered. I would say there is a plot, but for some reason this video is not large on the plot. It is more focus on showing off the members in a fashion show kind of sense which I really like. Those colourful scenes look quite retro and really brings back the good retro feel to the song and video. The music video is quite low budget, but I like how they covered it up with the editing and the lighting in the video. I guess the plot of the video is basically some people trying to find the “love pill” of love. Now that sounds absolutely disgusting and gross, but hey, it fits the title of the song. Also, bringing VIXX’s N and Hongbin into the music video make the whole thing so much bigger.

Please don’t tell me I am the only one who loves this song. 10/10. No ifs and no buts. Last week I asked which Gain song you guys preferred, and it seemed like FxxK U was enjoyed the most. Truth Or Dare came in second. Both songs came in third place. YAY! At least someone out there enjoyed the mini album as well. But also enjoy this song as well.

Happy New Year!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM KPOPreviewed!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!!

It is finally Christmas and I am excited! And the year is already up. Sadly though. However, shall we continue with a more different review this time around? But before that, I just would like to wish everyone who will read this post a Merry Christmas. Enjoy your time, with family, friends or anyone else. Be thankful and be safe. Let’s enjoy the final few days of 2013 and ready to party with 2014. Anyway, today, it is really more of an impromptu review. Not score will be given for these reviews. I have review Lonely Christmas by Crayon Pop and Miracle Of December by EXO. There are however four more Christmas songs that I want to review and today will be three song reviews in one! Shall we get started???

Christmas Song – United Cube

United Cube is back with a lovely slow Christmas song that showcases the groups under A Cube Entertainment and Cube Entertainment. The artists in this song include: Beast, 4Minute, APink, G.Na, Huh Gak, Roh Ji Hoon, BTOB and Oh Ye Ri. Wow that is a lot of artists. Also included is Kim Gi Ri, the comedian for Gag Concert. The song has this soft tune that reminds you of a warm Winter’s night, like Christmas Night. Though the song starts off really slow and it takes quite a while for it enter a more Christmas-like song, by the end, you are bound to remember those warm Christmas nights with your loved ones. I think the rap was handle really well in this song which is pretty good, considering how raps tend to ruin a good song. And the whole song, vocally, sounds amazing.

 Love Falls – Romantic J

Now we are getting into the more festive songs. This song may sound like a love song, which it is. I really love the jingle bell feel of the instrumental and how the vocals in this song are not hard hitting as powerful vocals. Though Jonghyun from CNBlue does not have as much lines as Juniel, the song still sounds amazing. His husky voice fits the tone of Juniel’s voice which makes the song have this beautiful duet. The song is quite addictive and sounds really good. I have been lipsyncing to this song since it came out. Though the music video may seem more of a romantic story, the song still carries the Xmas cheer. Yay! Also, this is a duo that I would love to hear more from.

Winter Propose – Jellyfish Entertainment

This song is the only song that is really close to those Christmas carols we here every year. Not exactly what I like, but it still does. It features all the artists of Jellyfish Entertainment including: VIXX, Seo In Guk, Sung Si Kyung, Park Hyo Shin and also a mysterious female singer (do I hear a singer debuting next year?). This song sounds amazing and really has that festive cheer to the song. It combines all of the artists of Jellyfish Entertainment and amazes me a lot. Though I was not much of a fan of their previous Christmas song and also their more experienced singers, this song gives you that warm feeling that makes you remember Christmas day and eve a lot.

Snow Candy – Starship Planet

The final song which gives off the happiest Christmas feeling of the year. It features Sistar, K.Will and Boyfriend and seems the most enjoyable song out there for memories of family and friends. Again, this song, along with the others vocally sounds amazing and the rap seemed to be handle really well by Bora and the Boyfriend rappers. Of course K.Will and Hyorin holds the main vocal part of this whole company venture, but with this song, I am going to let it slide. The music video also seems to be the most festive one out of the four. Pity that Dasom from Sistar was not a part of the filming, but probably have featured in the he song somewhere. Not sure where though.

Thank you for spending another year with me. Merry Christmas to all, wherever you are on this planet. Be happy and I will see you next time!!!!

You Don’t Know Love? – K.Will

Source: http://www.soompi.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/kwill_teaser_you_dont_know_love.jpg

K.Will has returned with a new mini album, unexpectedly, must I say. Like his comeback caught me off guard. How am I meant to cope when you announce a comeback like a day before your actual comeback? Seeeshh…. Throwing KPOP fans off their chairs, says KPOP companies forever. This time around, he enlisted the help of two well known Koreans: Chanyeol from EXO and Lee Ho Jung, Korean model. It also seems like he is putting off a good fight. He managed knock IU down from her perfect all kill status and is currently challenging SHINee for first place, on MCountdown so far!

The song is great. His voice is very soothing in this RnB type of genre and he sounds amazing. However, the song is not that appealing. It does not have me coming back for more. I don’t know why. I loved Please Don’t and enjoyed Love Blossom, but I really don’t see any appeal to the fans through the song. It is like he aimed high for his recent album, but then took a step back for this mini album. I love ths start of the song, but then it just lost it for me. The chorus is pretty good and somewhat catchy. YEs, this song is worthy of an award at least, but it is not the best song out there from the soloist. There was not much of an impact from this song as there was in his past songs. However. that bridge part of the song where he goes super high pitch was pretty good as well.

The music video. Number 1 complaint: this is why I hate artist using other popular artists in their videos. The actual artist is shoved out of the spotlight for their comeback and the “actor” or “actress” is the center of attention. No, I am not hating Chanyeol or Lee Ho Jung. But the music video was for K.Will’s comeback, not EXO’s comeback. From what I see: more of the comments were for Chanyeol than K.Will (when I wrote this). But leaving that to one side, the music video was really cool. Chanyeol and Lee Ho Jung’s acting skills are really great. The music video tells us a story where this couple breaks up, and obviously both reflect upon their breakup and then rekindle with each other. Chanyeol in anger threw the ring when his girlfriend broke the relationship off. But then he goes looking for it, still thinking he has a chance. That flower scene where he hands the flower from her box and let the ring fall out, like how did you do that???? Cause they would’ve been really hard to do without her noticing. Their acting was really cool. You could see the guilt of Lee’s face when she is reflecting and those tears from Chanyeol. WOW!

As for the live performance, you really cannot ask for more from a ballad singer. He is just sitting there, singing. What else he is gonna do: break down dance scene or something. On second thoughts though, that would be cool. Next comeback then?

8/10. Pretty cool comeback, but the problem lies within the song for me.

Love Blossom – K.Will

K.Will recently made his comeback with the 2nd part of his album late last week. This time around, it is more a bubbly song than that deep song we got from K.Will. To be honest, I am amazed with this half of the album, and overall, both parts were really good. For once, he “has his 15 seconds of fame” in this music video, all to be discussed below. Keep on reading.

The song is totally opposite of Please Don’t (Review Here!!). Both talking about love, but on two different perspectives. I am starting to think that I should move from Korea far away from this lonely island of Australia. I think I am more adapt to the different seasons which Korea has at the different times of the year, if you understand what I am saying. Anyway, this was an excellent song choice from this half of the album, fitting the season of Spring really well. I really like his voice this song and the instrumental itself is really good. However, I feel like he held back a bit too much for this song. It does not seem to have that K.Will feel to it, that other songs tend of have. But let’s see what other people think about the song.

The music video is hilarious. Well, not to that extreme, but to an extent. From what I gather, Myungsoo, is a slave to these bosses who are really up the social rank than him and treat him like total crap. Myungsoo plots to trap (possibly kill) the bosses as well, so once they are on the ride of DOOM aka. spinning top thingy. He shoots the controller (K.Will) who dressed up really well for the part. He then notices a girl (Dasom) while eating his ice cream and they bond over ice cream. Ummm.. Is it me, or this music video is really, really fluffy. Fluffier than that teddy bears of yours. I mean, like how unrealistic given the circumstances will you find love at a theme park  after killing someone and potential killing some more. Well, there are some things I wish to point out. That car is a really big one. Fits like 8 people. Secondly, the small girl who gives Dasom the ice cream seems dodgy. Have you not learnt not to pick up ice cream from strangers? Thirdly, but did K.Will’s glasses land in an awkward position? It would kind of been impossible to have it land that way. And Dasom is dating a murder. Yeah, I guess she never knew.

The live is pretty cool. No complaints. It is much more energetic than Please Don’t and the dance is pretty cool. I like the addition of the trumpets.

9.99/10. Why the 0.01 mark off? Well, Myungsoo killed K.Will. He killed K.Will. Shouldn’t we be getting some kind of police onto Myungsoo. It is not like he is on the run or anything. Nah, I kid. But 0.01 mark off for K.Will’s exceptionally short appearance in his music video. 😀

Please Don’t… – K.Will

Source: http://24-7kpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/kwill.jpg

Wow, it has been forever since a K.Will song. (Actually, did he not released a song sometime in May or June?). I know this video just came out, like so many videos, just as soon as I saw the music video, I was smacked in the face. Can you believe the twist? I was like, OMFG! Anyway, to a more serious note: I really just don’t want to go on about the whole video without you not seeing the WHOLE video, so I will put a link right here for it: CLICK HERE.

The song has a really soft melody, which makes total sense if you put in with the video and really compliments K.Will’s voice, who is like on of the masters of ballads. It is very soft, yet definitely very emotional. There is something about his voice, which makes us feel kind of sad. You know? The song really sounds sweet, but like your typical love song, describing the girl, but if you put that the music video, you will understand the full story of the video. “After spending a long day finding this place. I feel like I am lost” and “I pretend to be crazy and hold onto you but my body won’t listen to me” are just some of the lyrics in the song which is packed full of emotion. I will definitely recommend this song, if you like love songs and ballads.

The music video! Boy, was I fooled. You were too, weren’t you? Well, if you do not understand the music video, there is something wrong with you, just I will explain it anyway. Well, there is a guy who, I think lives with a couple. The girl was picks on this guy and makes him angry, where the boyfriend would come along and play along with the girl. Anyway, the guy feels uncomfortable, when he sees the couple kiss and stuff, because it would be an awkward thing. I find it very awkward to sit next to my friend and his girlfriend kissing. Anyway, the boyfriend proposes to the girl, they get married. The guy is jealous, and does not wish to be apart of the ceremony, but gets dragged in anyway. Later it is shown, that the guy is crying while driving his car.

What surprised me, was the ending. In the end, a picture of the three are taken out. He rips the picture into three parts and discards the girl from the picture, putting him and the boyfriend together. A gay couple. I was totally deceived that the guy was jealous of the boyfriend. South Korea is really gonna ban this and use some excuse: promoting homosexuality.   Really, I was quite surprised, first time witnessing this in a music video. Yes, you too!

WILL UPDATE WHEN A LIVE PERFORMANCE COMES OUT!

WILL UPDATE WHEN I FINALLY FINISH THE REVIEW!
